I know I'm being lazy but I'm surfin the net and wellŠ here you are. A
question to those playing slow pitch. Is there, and what is the official
height limit for a pitch and is there a minimum. I believe that as long as
one hits the mat it counts as a strike.

Please, if someone out there knows could you tell me and or direct me to a
source of official documentation.

Thanks, and keep swinging
S.A.

Slow-pitch heights: ASA 6-12 feet, USSSA I believe is 3-9 feet or 3-10
feet. I think NSA is the same as ASA's height....

It depends on the league rules and the sanctioning body. In mat ball,
sometimes there is no limit, sometimes they use 6-12 feet like in ASA,
and if it is a USSSA league the max will be 10 ft. Ask your local
league for a copy of their rules.

usually it's between 6 and 12 feet to be "legal" if you are interested
in playing Slo-Pitch in Toronto E-mail me, I run several Co-ed teams
around the city :]

there is a 12 foot arc limit in ASA and SCMAF(mat ball) play. The minimum
arc is 6 feet in ASA and over the batter's head in SCMAF. the mat behind
the plate keeps the arguments down about balls and strikes, but it
unrealistically gives the same strike zone to all batters regardless of
their height.

ASA is 6-12 ft., USSSA is 3-10 ft.

The ASA rule book says the ball must have a perceptible arc and must
reach a height of at least six feet from the ground, while not exceeding
a maximum height of twelve feet from the ground.
