Frank Gallagher was sent as substitute, impersonating his son Carl, in the final minute of the match between The Jockey Pub FC and other Pub side, with the score tied 2-2.

The ref wouldn’t let him play because he was not in uniform. Gallagher retorted that Olympic athlete Zola Budd didn’t need proper footwear and on that precedent he was allowed into the pitch.

With his eternal cigarette in his mouth, made a couple of nutmegs, another nice piece of good dribbling and scored a remarkable goal.

To celebrate he pulled up his shirt’s collar, like Cantona… and together with the lads he sang the:

Campeones, campeones, oe, oe, oe!!!

Contradictory, ‘cause Gallagher is a fan of City, not of United.
