I don't even need to read the rest to choose.

Rules question: do I get to keep my roster intact should Mysterious Masked
Man show up at some point?

Yep. You can only make changes to your roster after the end of the first
round, and then again after the semis.

So the milivillains are back. I had this team third, after TSuarez and
TNeymar. Futbolmetrix picked the last team in my ranking... as if we needed
another proof that he's my nemesis etc.

Team Suarez is an excellent first pick, the second pick, should
probably be team Cavanni? My logic being the Uruguayans will play
full strength vs the Tahitians? team Torres would probably be a good
pick as I assume he will start vs the Tahitians ( you know, coach puts
him in to get his confidence back) having said that, my logic has been
wrong many times, especially since the NHL ice hockey pool.

I dont know how much of a training exercise this is for the teams, to
test out things, but the other group i assume will be a lot more low
scoring, I mean come on, Mexico and Italy, no team will score more
then 3 goals in the whole group stage! Again though, my logic has
been skewed since ice hockey. actually a lot longer than that (I wont
get into the various reasons for that, most of them have to do with
lifestyle choices) so dont let me affect your picks in any way.

Semi-randomly: players and actual teams were sorted into alphabetical
order, and then matched. So each player's matches will correspond to the
matches of his matched NT.

Group A:
--------
Binder --> Brazil
Clement --> Italy
Futbolmetrix --> Japan
Homer --> Mexico

Group B:
--------
Jesus P --> Nigeria
Joachim P --> Spain
MH ---> Tahiti
milivella --> Uruguay

[Interesting that the groups ended up being sorted by alphabetical order
of the country's English name...]

So the first round matches are:

Group A:
--------
Binder - Futbolmetrix
Homer - Clement

Group B:
--------
Joachim P - milivella
MH - Jesus P

In fact, you were the only one who ended up with his third choice team
(other than Jesus and Clement who didn't rank).

But of course it wasn't deliberate or anything...

I will post the full list of matches and players later today. Up Team

1-0 HT

I wont count out Japan scoring an equalizer, Japan not doing so badly,
they seem to rush their passes a bit too much, but they look lively.
Brazil more or less controlling the game, though not in an overly
convincing manner for me.

Final 3-0

does anyone have Joe?

If Brazil can score three vs Mexico or Italy, then they can win the WC.

So Team Homer, not only was the only "person" to get points today, but
he actually got two goals! In one game! Who the Hell is little
Paul???? I have heard of lil Ronald.

And who the hell is Joe????

You see, this is why I am against bots.

Probably wont see more then one goal combined, scored in both games
today, so this Homerbot should lead after today as well?
