hahahaha...

Yes, it was an embellishment of sorts, but he was bitten, anyway.

The bite was difficult to see, even in replay and slo-mo.

In my days of playing football, when someone did something like that and lesser fouls, he would get a good, nice, old fist in the face, with the corresponding red card (well, there were no cards at the time, but you were sent off).

Then, there came cards and dives, South American "picardía", Bilardo's pin, Maradona's Hand of God, Rivaldo 2002, Peter Crouch's hair pulling, Gilardino, Cristiano, Mourinho's finger, etc.

(I was reluctant to name names, afraid of unfairly missing some emblematic diver/cheater, but...)

But, what do you think, would have happened if someone had dared to bite Cantona?
