Split sign Ivanisevic

Wimbledon tennis star Goran Ivanisevic could play top-flight football next
season with Croatian champions Hajduk Split.

Hajduk have included the 29-year-old in their squad for the new campaign and
promised him a run-out in the League clash with bitter rivals Dinamo Zagreb.

Coach Nenad Gracan said: "I know it is his big wish and he deserves to have
it fulfilled. Ivanisevic likes football and the ability that he has
demonstrated has often been close to professional level.

"I have asked him to come to training and promised him that he will be in
the team for the game against Dinamo."

Ivanisevic claimed his first Grand Slam when he beat Australia's Pat Rafter
in five sets on Centre Court last Monday.

He will wear the No.213 shirt after the amount of aces he served in the
tournament.
