The only match that all of Engerland, no Europe, no the World, cares
about this week is the North London derby. Nobody really cares about
the teams up north, nobody really cares about the people up North, if
you want to call them that. Horrible people they are, but it is not
their fault. The people of Manchester or Liverpool or Birmingham or all
those northern towns, just do not know any better. They like their
football to be all about kick and run and smash, they have no idea about
tactics. the rest of the modern world calls them backwards, but they
like it. It is like being disgusted by a tribe from Papua New Guinea
because they are Cannibals. That is just they way they are.

So it is 125 years that Woolwich has been playing against us, I mean the
royal we. Little known fact but the Royal family have been Spurs fans
for over 100 years. The Queen will be at the game with her Spurs shirt
on. In disguise of course. Just look for a balding, beer bellied Spurs
supporter, that will be her.

We will miss Dembele, probably more then anyone? It would not be so bad
if we had Parker, but we do have Sandro and the lads doing just fine.
The Woolwich central midfield is non existent anyhow, so we really do
not need too much there. This St. Carzola guy has to be the most
overrated player since Adebayor, they both have that clumsy fall over
the ball type movement. Put a wood post in the middle of the field, it
will stop half of Woolwich's attacks.

The only thing weaker then Woolwich's central midfield is it's defence,
unless of course, it's their keepers. At one time, even I liked the
Woolwich team, they had some good passing and nice play, but that all
disappeared around the time Hleb went to Barcelona, some might say
losing Hleb was when they lost their last good player? But since then,
they play like a Northern kick and run team.

All a bunch of big thugs now too. No ball skills, fouling everything
that moves, like a team of Paul Scholes. Oddly enough, the only non big
thug, is the giant Gerry in defence? The big lad can not head a ball,
never makes a tackle and never makes a foul? Probably their best passer
of the ball though. Especially since the rest of them have difficulties
trapping the ball. They work best when they do not have the ball, that
is when Woolwich is at their most dangerous, off the ball. Once they
have the ball, their plays break down.

I initially was thinking, getting this little AVB guy was a good idea,
but the little Cyborg, either is very stubborn, or seems to get it all
wrong? Why you would sit out Defoe vs that giant thugish Manchester team
and put in a clumsy clod is beyond me? This whole keeper thing is all
wrong as well. Why do we have four keepers, three of whom are better
then any other keepers in the league? Here we have the best players in
the league and we are not even in the top 4?

I am beginning to think, the old incontinent Cockney was not such a bad
coach after all. Just to put things in perspective an old incontinent
east Londoner would fare better then any northerner in any simple
standardized testing, like placing matching shapes into cut outs and
such. They just dont have that ability up north to recognize shapes.
Which probably explains why they kick and chop at everything? Anything
that moves, they assume is the ball?

Bit disappointed in the Yank as well, I will give him some more time,
but up until now, he really has not been that good. Of course we have
Bale, the best player in the league by far. Smart kid, got out of Wales
as soon as he could and moved down South, handsome lad as well. They
were talking about him getting a career in the moving pictures, a
possible role in Planet of the Apes was mentioned? But why do that with
all his footballing skills? Not to mention his speed. Does Woolwish
have anyone who can keep up with him? Maybe Podolski or Sagna?

Well, we have already beaten Man U easily away from home this year, no
reason we cant knock of the Woolwiches either.

An absolutely wonderful read Binder, post of the year by a mile, pleasure!!!

Now to the serious stuff, looks like Arsenal are in a bit of an injury
crisis, late tests on Szczesny, Walcott, Giroud, Cazorla, Chamberlain and
Arteta, while Rosicky, Gibbs look like they are short on fitness... Wilshere
returns from suspension, and rubberman Sagna will probably keep playing
following back to back broken legs, remarkable the way he plays considering
the injuries he has sustained...

Just seen Wenger with his pre match interview, he's not looking good in all
honesty, there's probably nothing wrong with him, but he looks drained and
very, very skinny... I predict we will win 3-1, don't think Tottenham have
an international in the entire squad, so they should be fresh and tactically
prepared to park the bus...

Come on ARSENAL!!!

Stewart Robson on EPSN Press Pass

"Arsene Wenger doesn't seem to be able to rectify defensive problems..."
"Time and time again..."
"I'd have Steve Bould as the manager"
"I think it's time they looked elsewhere"
"He's been there too long..."
"Arsenal always have problems"
"If Arsenal had a manager that could galvanise the club..."

Negative Nancy, but makes a bit of sense too... it officially begins, though
it did when Petit made some claims a few years ago!!!

Is Carzola really injured? Do I need to change my Fantasy team?
I read Rosicky is back, that is probably the biggest miss for Woolwich
right now, they just dont have a good central midfielder who can hold
and distribute the ball.

When have we ever parked the bus???? We dont drive buses, we drive Land
Rovers maybe, but not buses!!!

Maybe all the years of talk about firing Wenger is finally getting to
Wenger?

He isn't injured, but he travelled with Spain to wherever they played
Panama, didn't play and had a complete waste of time, he is being assessed,
I'd keep him, I doubt he'll miss such an important match... he's one of the
best performing midfielders in fantasy anyhow, so double keep...

It's kind of like last season, Rosicky returned and everything was fixed, he
gives Arsenal forward drive, Cazorla cant do it on his own, no single
midfielder can do it on his own at any football club, it takes more than
one, Gerrard cant have done it without Alonso and Hamman, Lampard cant have
done it without Essien and Makelele, Arsenal have players playing out of
position almost all over the field... it's worth mentioning, Arteta was the
driving force with Rosicky last season, along with RVP, this year Arteta is
playing central defensive midfield, he's doing ok, but that for me is a case
of a player being out of position...

Could be real trouble if we lose, real trouble!!!

BTW, I read somewhere that MK Dons play AFC Wimbledon sometime soon, I think
that's worth a watch, considering the history of the clubs, possibly the
biggest derby in England?

I still think Wenger is a better option then the little Cyborg?

If I was to pick a starting 11 and this would be based more upon what
players I like, over current form, since I have seem more Spurs Europa
games then EPL games, I would go with;

Friedl
he is the old, experienced guy, nothing wrong with Lloris, just
picking the guy who has been there and done that.

Walker Gallas Vertonghen ????
Quite a few injuries in the back, even Walker is questionable, according
to the fantasy EPL web site? Apparently Gallas has not been good this
season, maybe age is catching up to him? I have not been that impressed
by what I have seen by Vertonghen either, but Dawson is terrible. Is
Kyle Naughton any good? Putting in Bale at left back would take away a
lot from the attack, but who else? Sandro maybe can play as a defender?
Huddlestone can, but I am not big on him either.

Lennon Dempsey Sandro Siggurdson
Those are the only four you can play, the rest are injured or not good
enough. No one does it anymore, but the little Cyborg may need to play
two strikers? If bale does not play as left back- and he probably
won't- then he comes in to the midfield and maybe Vertonghen plays left
back and Huddlestone or someone plays centreback and you can play one
striker.

Defoe, if playing one striker, Defoe has been good this season and is
scoring, so he gets the start, i dont think he is a great striker, but
he is quick. Adebayor would play if the system is 4-4-2

Wenger is top class, he's just too stubborn to do what he has to in the
transfer market, and too loyal to flops!!!

Friedl
Walker Gallas Vertonghen ????
Lennon Dempsey Sandro Siggurdson
Defoe Adebayor

That's a solid team, few Arsenal old boys there too, Assou Akotto fit?

Chesney
Sagna, Koscielny, Mertesacker, Vermaelen
Coquelin
Arteta Cazorla
Walcott Chamberlain
Podolski

Cant drop Giroud on the back of last week, Wilshere can be bench, I'd like
to see Chamakh given a chance, his goals against Reading all be it in the
Cup, were of good quality, not exactly from a player low on confidence...
despite his averageness ...

No assou is out, I hate to say it but he is missed.

Giroud seems to be very good in the air, Podolski is probably a better
shooter and does more work all around. I think if Rosicky comes back
he would work better with a player like Podolski?

Bale v Sagna is a good speedsters match up. I think Defoe would do
better than Adebayor vs those defenders?

The irony here of course is that both teams will struggle to make the
top 4 this season.
