Dear Mr. Tree-Shagging termite,
you can keep your grubby shipstone (piss-water) maulers off our lads, and
in fact the chances of you getting any of our lads is nonexistent, especially
since you have no money, and like Wimbledon, have to get rid of all your
decent players....Keane, Walker,Clough, etc.
I think this is more true and that Forest and their fairweather following
are fizzing out (2 lossess in a row!)
Ninos (a Rams SUPPORTER)...
You can keep your grubby little
Hopefully, THE RAMS, will come up with a few results, if only to
stop our players defecting to Notts (sic) Forest. I hear THE REDS
are strapped for cash lately and couldn't afford any of our so-called
premiership standard squad anyway. Rumours are rife that Colleymore
may be on his bike to make up for some of the debts.
>I think this is true and that Derby and all their fans are sheep-shagging

Yep, but sheep-shagging is more natural than tree-shagging and leaves less
sores on your winkle (so I'm told). Besides, it takes a great deal of skill
to boink a squirming mass of wool than a fairly static big knot of ash.
Besides, when are Notts (sic again) Forest going to come up with a decent
nickname than girly ones like THE REDS and the (giggle) "Tricky Trees"?
Gor blimey, it's almost as bad as being nicknamed THE FOXES (snicker).
The season's got a long way to go yet, but yer money's safe on betting
that those other girlys at Filbert Street will be down with THE TOFFEES
by the end of the season. Now there's a nickname, one you can get your
teeth into! Sorry, for the poor joke, not even Tricky Trees supporters
deserve to read that one...

I can't imagine anyone being moronic enough to buy any players from Derby
anyway. They're all shite. Gary Charles, Mark "Wanker" Pembridge etc...
the list goes on. Paul Kitson???? How much????? Kevin Keegan has a BIG
problem. Up the trees, F*CK OFF Sheep Shaggers

Maybe we did get rid of Keane, Walker, Clough etc. . . but then we
replaced them with Collymore, Roy, Bohinen, Cooper etc. , which
is a business deal of fantasy-league proportions, by anyone's
standards.
Yes, 2 losses in a row may be a spectacularly bad run of form by
OUR standards, but let's remember that at Derby, 2 consecutive
draws would be considered "an unbeaten run".
Paul (another smug Forest Fan)
PS- "fair weather following"? I've had a season ticket for 5 years
and still have one, despite the fact I'm up here at Uni in
Newcastle.

Aha!! Another Mackem/Forest supporter!! I claim my prize!

blah blah blah, read the letter yourself if you really want to, but its crap.
I would just observe that Ninos's letter symbolises the fantasy world which Derby
fans have to take refuge in in these lean times.
Robert.

Fact 1 : Derby have a lot of overpaid and overrated players.
Fact 2 : They do not have a squad that is capable of getting
promoted this season
Fact 3 : They were awful against a VERY unlucky Portsmouth
side last Sunday. And that was Derby's best result &
performance of the season so far.
Fact 4 : Forest are almost top of the Premiership. They play
good football. They have a good squad. They have some
money problems that will probably force them to sell
Collymore.
As a neutral I feel sorry for any Derby fan. If the team I supported hadspent 14 million pounds over the last 3 years and they were still crap I would
feel very pissed off. And in reply to the Derby fan - they sold their only 1 good player this season. They haven't got anyone else that anyone would pay the sort of money that Keane, Clough etc. went for.
Didn't I read that Forest were 6 million in debt a few weeks ago?
If Derby buy to move away from the bottom then some Forest players could be going to
the Baseball Ground.
Roy & Colleymore might be worth 6 million :-)
Fair comment (dammit).

Well, I say! This was almost an intelligent commentary... until the
last sentence. I surely hope the IQ of Notts (sic) Forest supporters is
a little higher than this, otherwise this could degenerate into one of
those Manchester United/FC Barcelona/Galasataray-style flame wars! ;-)
Seen it all before, the insults just bounce off after all these years.
PS: I'd leave those trees alone if I were you, you'll get termites!

Notts are no better.
However, I doubt it.
How Derby ever got to be a city in its own right I`ll never know, it
was just the bit that Nottingham didn`t want.

Merely the distance I have to travel to see our home games.
Perhaps I should've gone to Stirling instead, then maybe this whole
sorry argument would've died a long time ago.

Is this whole newsgroup getting a tad trainspotty or what??

At least 6 million, I've heard nearer 10. But like Forest they'll make it up due to consistently high gates
despite very high prices.

Well said.
Climbing Trees, NFFC.
As a true Sheep-shagger, I can't dispute any of these facts (dammit, again).

Thanks for the sympathies. You have just summarised exactly how we feel
on the RamsNet. Until the win over Pompey we were only a couple of miserable
points away from the relegation zone. A far cry from the team that outplayed
Premiership-bound Leicester City at Wembley last season.
As a Rams fan, I am pissed off that we've spent so much money and are
still not going anywhere. Back in the days of Brian Clough we achieved
a great deal of success with young unknowns and a bunch of old farts.
The young 'uns delivered the speed and the silky skills and the old 'uns
gave experience and the guts (remember Dave Mackay)? It was a wonderful
blend of chemistry. For me, buying a bunch of young "super stars" isn't
the answer. A team needs something more. Former Villa veteran, Cowans
has helped considerably in the experience department.
As for selling our best player, Kitson to Newcastle, this was a subject
of boardroom politics. Originally the deal was kyboshed, but Kitson
complained that this was his "dream" move. In the end, it was inevitable
he would move if he wasn't going to be happy playing at Derby.
Playing at Derby is not easy these days. The manager, Roy McFarland --
who is a Derby man through and through, is under the gun and there have
been some nasty boardroom battles. It simply is not condusive to having
a settled team expected to give 100% (at least) every match.
Fortunately we have a cup run going for us right now. Without this,
Derby have little else to hope for. We _always_ get KO'd out of the
FA Cup in the 3rd Round in January. Perhaps if we had a good run of
results over Christmas and New Years the overall picture may not look
so bleak.
