Rooney, Defoe, Crouch and Aghobanlor are going you figure.
If Capello opts for five, there's a chance he could get a nod for the
fifth spot. He'd probably be bettling it out with Bent or Cole,
Capello's not impressed by the club a player plays for so far.
Zamora has an excellent chance of playing. If the 5 were to be picked
now it would be Rooney, Defoe, Crouch, Heskey and Agbonlahor. It will
be 5, this is not Sven picking. Zamora and Owen are on the fringes,
but more importantly are still in Europe hence have more opportunity
to impress, especially important in Owen's case!

Zamora will return to his non-scoring ways soon enough. I can't
believe how fickle some supporters can be. Owen has 40 international
goals behind him. I know who I'd rather have going.
Bobby Charlton has 9 more goals than Owen but i don't think you'll see
him suiting up and playing though...
What about Dixie Dean, any word on his chances of making the squad?
Funny that isn't it? Might have something to do with the fact that SBC
is in his 70s and Owen is still in his 20s.

It is the same difference though. Michael Owen the speed-dribbling
striker no longer plays professional football. The Michael Owen of
today needs to prove himself all over again. Even his natural balance
seems to be a bit off currently! Zamora, Rooney, Carlton Cole, Crouch
and Defoe have visibly improved themselves over the years. Michael
Owen has been visibly in decline ever since Real Madrid wrecked his
career.

Last time I watched him he scored a hat-trick and looked sharp to me.
Lol tell that to Man City or Wolfsburg!

Correct! A decent option to have on the bench, even more so when he
came at the price SAF got him for. But ' reasonable premiership level'
seems to be his mark right now.
He would have to show a lot more to be in my final squad. Same goes for
Beckenham.
LC
Beckenham? Isn't that a new town near London?
