This will not be as long and arduous as the Marko Marin watch, in fact
it is a different kind of "watch" altogether. The Aaron hunt Watch is
not a watch to spot Aaron in various places (sort of like a Where's
Waldo), it is to see where he ends up?

First off all, many of you probably dont even know who Aaron Hunt is?

Well, Aaron is Werder Bremen's greatest player since, well, uhmm...
Marko Aurnotivic? Let's just say he was Werder's best player this
season, at least according to the Aaron Hunt Watch Council.

NOTE; The AHWC is based upon factual integrity, our researchers did go
out and check the veracity of the above statement. Though the "best
player" claim is a subjective claim, we do have kickers ratings for last
season and Aaron was the second best player, behind the keeper, Raphael
Wolf, Wolf only played 21 games, so we stand by our claim of Werder's
Best Player last season.

Aaron is a fully capped German International, he did play against
Ecuador on that USA tour last year, playing over 30 minutes in that
game, he also played in a friendly against Denmark back in 2010, logging
in a full minute more then he did in the Ecuador game and in 2009, made
his glorious International debut, with a 10 minute appearance against
Ivory Coast. He is only 27 years old, so he may yet still play a full
half for the national team?

Aaron Hunt is also the winner of the fair play award, for having a
referee reverse a penalty called against him, after telling the ref he
was not fouled, but had tripped on the turf. We can assure you, Werder
leading 2-0 with minutes left in the game had nothing to do with this
bit of fair play.

Anyhow, for the past few months Aaron Hunt has been playing "poker" with
Werder, claiming he would leave at the end of the season, not renewing
his contract and talking about the climate in place like Stoke on Trent
and Istanbul.

http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11888/9298468/transfer-news-werder-bremens-aaron-hunt-yet-to-find-new-club

Though Aaron has stated he will be moving to a foreign club, reports
from Wolfsburg say that is where he will be going? There are some
reports that he will not move at all and this is just a ploy to get a
better contract? We at AHWCHQ, dont believe this for a second!

Some might say, this is just not as exciting as a real Bundesliga match
week, with predictions and what not, we at the AHWCHQ beg to differ.
This is the most exciting thing to happen in the Bundesliga since week
7! (That was the week Dortmund was top of table on goal diff).

We would have posted this watch much sooner, but our headquarters at the
moment look like a Maldivian water Hotel, we are kind of cut off from
the rest of the world, due to flooding at HQ, our reporters have to wear
Rubber boots to come into our offices, Beer and Whiskey can only be
shipped by Hovercraft, canoe, kayak or pedal boat, we could hear Carp
splashing underneath our communications room, possibly interfering with
transmissions from abroad?

As tough as the conditions are here, we will be keeping up to the
minute updates! Well as long as they dont interfere with drinking,
fishing, making breakfast, looking for re-runs of the Golden Girls on
Netflix etc

We are still getting inquiries here at AHWCHQ, mostly asking, Who is
Aaron Hunt? Here is a copy and paste from the Bundesliga website,
giving you a quick glimpse about who Aaron Hunt is;

http://www.bundesliga.com/en/liga/news/2013/0000293301.php

Aaron Hunt could hardly have wished for a better send-off on his final
home appearance for SV Werder Bremen. 13 uninterrupted years and 214
Bundesliga games since first joining the club, not only did the
27-year-old score both goals in the Grn-Weien's 2-0 win over Hertha
Berlin, he also picked up an award from the German Olympic Society for
his remarkable act of fair play against 1. FC Nrnberg in March.

In light of Hunt's decision not to renew his contract at the
Weser-Stadion, bundesliga.com looks back at the career of Bremen's
departing midfielder...

First-team debut
Born to an English mother and a German father, Hunt played for regional
clubs VfL Oker and Goslarer SC 08 as a youngster, before joining Werder
as a 14-year-old in 2001. After three years with the reserves, Hunt took
his first-team bow against Hannover 96 on 18 September 2004, replacing
Croatian striker Ivan Klasnic in the 84th minute. Bremen won the match
3-0, with Valerian Ismael, Johan Micoud and Miroslav Klose grabbing the
goals at the Weser-Stadion.

Off the mark
Hunt had to wait nearly five more months for his starting debut, but the
Lower Saxony-born player marked the occasion with a goal in a 2-0
victory over Borussia Mnchengladbach in February 2005, making him the
club's youngest goal-scorer of all-time at the age of just 18 years and
161 days. Since then, Hunt has scored a further 45 goals in 214
appearances for Bremen, including the all-important third goal in a 3-2
victory over Real Madrid CF in the UEFA Champions League in 2007.

First trophy
Although he made his Bremen debut after the club had won the 2003/04
Bundesliga title, Hunt didn't have to wait long for his first piece of
silverware: At the beginning of the 2006/07 season, Werder beat an FC
Bayern Mnchen side featuring Philipp Lahm and Bastian Schweinsteiger
2-0 in Leipzig to lift the DFL League Cup. Bremen managed to finish
ahead of Bayern in the Bundesliga that year, but it wasn't enough to win
a second league title in four years as VfB Stuttgart finished top of the
pile.

Mixed emotions
After nearly three years without a trophy, Hunt and Co. reached the DFB
Cup final in 2008/09. In a tense encounter at Berlin's Olympiastadion,
Bremen ran out 1-0 winners over Bayer 04 Leverkusen, with a young Mesut
zil grabbing the only goal of the game. The win proved the perfect
pick-me-up for Thomas Schaaf's side, who had suffered a 2-1 defeat to
Ukrainian giants Shakhtar Donetsk in the final of the UEFA Cup ten days
previously.

International debut
The attacking midfielder's impressive performances for Bremen have not
gone unnoticed at international level. After 13 appearances for the
Under-21s, Joachim Lw handed Hunt his full international debut on 2
November 2009 in an international friendly against Cote d'Ivoire. Hunt
has since made two further appearances for die Nationalmannschaft,
coming on as a substitute in friendlies against Denmark in 2010 and
against Ecuador in 2013.

Injury woes
Hunt has had his fair share of injury problems during his career. A
troublesome knee complaint kept him out for the entire second half of
the 2005/06 campaign, while a groin injury forced him to play through
the pain barrier for most of the majority of the 2006/07 Rckrunde. He
underwent a successful operation in the summer of 2007, but he continued
to be plagued by knee and groin injuries for much of the following
campaign. This season, Hunt has only missed three matches through injury.

Fair Play award
With Bremen leading Nrnberg 2-0 on Matchday 24, Hunt went to ground
following a challenge by Javier Pinola inside the penalty area. The
referee promptly pointed to the spot, but much to everyone's
astonishment, Hunt jumped to his feet and told the referee he had
tripped on the turf. The referee immediately revised his decision, and
on his final home game for the club, Hunt received the the Fair Play
Medal awarded to him by the German Olympic Society (DOG) back in March.

The latest on Aaron Hunt, we are hearing, is a potential move to Florence?

We also got news from our friends at Bild, that the two chicks that
formed German Super Pop Group "Modern Talking" are making another comeback?

On a sadder note, we are also getting new that Nina Hagen is gravely ill?

We can not confirm any of these reports yet, but hope to have
confirmation by the end of our news day.

What we can confirm is Jogi Low will not be picking Aaron for the World
Cup squad. We were on high alert, after receiving news of Lars Bender
pulling out of the National team, due to injury. We had received inside
information from the camp, that Aaron was set to be his replacement,
sadly we can now confirm that we deny this report.

The Aaron Hunt Watch is over, in a very undramatic way, he signed for
Wolfsburg. This has been the most boring player watch ever! At least
go to a team that wears a different colour shirt!!!!

It is not all bad. The Marko Marin Watch is kicked back into gear.
Marko had been linked with a move to gladbach, a couple of days ago. As
difficult as it is to find Marin, we can now put our full attention back
to the MMW.

Sevilla and Chelsea are desperate to keep Marko, at least according to
Marko, so this should be much more exciting then the AHW?

We would like to start the rumour that Marko has been put on standby for
the German National team.

At the Federico Macheda Watch, we're happy to announce that he'll now
be wearing Cardiff's famous red jersey.

And Diego is moving to Fenerbache.

I was so sure that he was going to be the next Eric Cantona. Where did things go so wrong?
