According to wikipedia, they all passed away too.

Vu comment Lille galère pour sortir un club danois
et vu comme PSG et Montpellier assurent, ça sent
encore l'éclate totale en Ligue des Champions cette année

Are we talking just about players in the Final?

As for the 1934 (and 1938) World Cup, the French reserve
goalkeeper is still alive

...and dissing Ibrahimovic!

Ammammata does.
In fact, I spoke too fast :
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ehrenfried_Patzel
"date of death unknown"
I assumed he was dead...
Is he still alive.

Nice.
But it will be difficult to know whether some players are still
alive or not.

For instance :
http://www.fifa.com/worldcup/archive/edition=3/results/matches/match=1119/report.html
I tried, randomly, to find data about Mahmoud NEGRO.
The most I found was that :
http://www.fanbase.com/Mahmoud-Negro
Born on April 19th in 1905...
Surely dead, but are we sure ?

He is now their last surviving player to have participated in either of the
pre-war World Cups.
