I'll keep it short, maybe one or two people here will find this interesting.
It's not easy to guess really, especially when you see how many championship
titles they've won in Croatian league, in the last 13 years only Rijeka
managed to win the title (once) besides club managed by Zdravko Mamic, who
is now convicted, escaped to Bosnia and enjoys his freedom there.

But his spirit (and his people) is still in the club and HNS (Croatian FA),
which is clearly shown once again in today's Croatian Cup match between
Sloga and Dinamo,
Sloga is an amateur club in the 4th league. Here's a video of a situation
that decided the match:

https://www.facebook.com/hnkslogamravince1/videos/337875226961178/

It was 0:0 until Sloga player (they had red and white jerseys) got fouled
from the back by Dinamo player (yellow jersey), Sloga player
instinctively grabbed
the ball expecting referee would call the foul, but it turned out he was
quite naive because referee
called a penalty for Dinamo! Sloga player got pissed, refused to continue
playing, Dinamo scored from penalty and it ended 0:1.

Of course, such ridiculous calls happen too often, this immediately reminded
people of similar calls, one of the most famous happened last year when
Soudani
got a penalty for this "foul" :)

Someone made Shooting stars meme for this:

This sort of thing used to happen in the communist days... 20 years
ago we had a poster from Romania who explained the landscape there.
With Caucescu in power his man got the European golden boot with a
healthy dose of penalties.

We don't have Caucescu, but Mamic organized birthday party and
various dinners for our president Kolinda :) All while Mamic
was under investigation.

Ah, another Jesus Gil y Gil! Colorful figures like that are needed
before it becomes a grey, optimised, soulless professional world.

Group isn't acquainted with Mamic's opus?
Mamic is as colorful as someone can be, it would be a shame
for everyone to miss this:

Best curses:

Most famous are:

"mučko đubre", not easy to translate, something like: "torturing garbage"
"ti si mučki provokator", "you are a torturing provocateur", usually
directed towards journalists
"proklet bio na Božić 2010.", "damn (curse) you on a Christmas 2010."

Does puto mean the same thing as in Spanish? ... I like the "silly music"
at the beginning. After that he's just an angry kid.

That's the one he says the most... isn't muko or muki more like
"F--king" ?

When he loses his voice and composure he isn't so funny anymore... not
as entertaining as Gil y Gil

Not sure what you heard, but no, actually we don't have word "puto".
Near the beginning he is yelling "jesi čuo?, "did you hear me?"

As soon as I hit the send button I realized translation was awkward, but not
far from the accurate one.
It's not "fucking" :)
Word "mučki" is mostly used with word "kill" and to kill someone "mučki"
means to kill someone in a deceitful way, cunningly, unexpected, brutally,
violently... you get the picture, victim didn't expect it or didn't expect
it to be so violent.

So, when he says "mučki provocateur" to a journalist it would mean
questions asked by journalist are unexpected, deceitful, brutal... meant
to wreak havoc :)

At first I thought "mučki" comes from word "mučiti" which means "torture",
but apparently it's from word "muk" which means "silence".
