Why are Milan so desparate to offload Coloccini? He's a world youth cup
champion, he's tough and young and hungry. Clubs are almost begging Milan
for his signature. Milan need him because their defence is absolutely a
seive at times. What is te latest on this anyway? HTe last i heard,
Coloccini is staying..

Coloccini is a very young, promising central defender who Milan stole from
my Boca when he was about 17 years old (his father canceled his contract
with Boca and he signed with Milan for no indemnification... Milan then gave
some money to Boca as a sign of their "good faith" but it was no more than a
pittance IIRC). He played last season on loan in San Lorenzo and played
very well. He then captained Argentina to the sub-20 world championship
(although Argentina controlled the ball so well, they probably could have
won it with me as a central defender).

In any case, he is relatively tall, good with the head and has very good
timing. Extremely smart and mature for his age, he always plays the ball
cleanly coming out on the attack. He's not the fastest of defenders, but is
not slow either.

Milan wanted to loan him to a European team. First it seemed to be Zaragoza
and then Alaves. Then Milan wisened up, seem to want to keep Coloccini, and
are about to unload Chamot on Alaves.

Ba and Coloccini have moved to Marseille and Alaves respectively.

Coloccini is sold or loaned out to Alaves?

BTW why did Milan sell Guly off? He impressed initially when he first joined
Milan.

It is gd to see Ba go. Erratic player.

That makes sense. With top quality defenders such as Roque Junior and
Chamot, there was no room for Coloccini.

He hasn't moved yet. If anyone at the club has been watching Roque
Junior in the Copa America there is no way in hell they would sell
Coloccini. Ba hasn't moved yet either and the best sources are :
