Dan,
Piping a 670 isn't worth the hassle, or money. You will probably see
about a 5-8 hp gain, and repetitive temp. related jetting changes becomes
a constant nag. Detonation becomes a factor too, as pipes pushes the
redline up around 8300 rpm. Plan on a set of EGT's also, if you want to
get serious with pipes.

I also read in a magazine (Snotech??) that installing pipes on the 670
can actully make LESS hp. They give you a big list of stuff you have to
do to make twin pipes work, and it is costly..Then it says the
piston/cylynder tolerances are so close that adding twins might burn up
the motor.

Scotts right, The MXZ will probably need to be ported also, met someone
with twin pipes on his 670 last season, he said after he finally figured
out he needed to get it ported, it did run ok, just way too much money
spent in new parts before the porting was done. : (

I noticed that Powerhouse racing did not make the Sept. 2nd issue of Snowweek's
High Performance Guide. Is there a reason, or are they a "fly by night"
operation?

One would assume that list is merely a past advertisers list....

There are lots of performance dealers who don't advertise with the mags.
