Hi there,

where do you recommend to go for Snowmobiling in the USA / Canada?
I would like to go there for a week or so, rent a snowmobil and just
enjoy the landscape etc.

Any websites?

Thanks,

Axel

I would highly recommend the St. Zenon/St.Michell de Saints area of Quebec. We
travel about 11 hours to go there 4x per year. The scenery is awsome, they have
snow when the rest of the east is bare, the grooming is the best, great rates
with the exchange rate etc etc. Le Cabanon is our favorite motel. (indoor pool,
game room etc.) I can't find the website for Quebec that had some info. Someone
on here will have it. LeCabanon's # is 450-884-5762. Xmas and early jan are
probably booked up though.

Hey Axel,

A couple years ago we had a great time in Ste Agathe. Lots of info at their
website. Including sled rental places.

Depends on your style of riding as to where you want to go....

If the whole US and Canada are options, West Yellowstone is the
snowmobile capital of the world... hundreds of miles of trails, the
park, hundreds and hundreds of rentals (although you only need one
each :-)

take the right trail and do some boondocking or go to the really steep
and deep (we didn't even get there last time we went...). Whatever
you like they have it. Crowded many times though at least until you
get away from town a ways. Beeeautiful landscape.

or go during Expo in March, park is closed, but lots of snowmobile
stuff!! That is what we did last time we went. It was a blast! They
could not keep up with the grooming on the main trails out of town
though... still hundreds of miles of trails to take.

Check out www.westyellowstone.com, or just do a search of the entire
web, lots of links and web pages for that area!

For general info on sledding in Qc you can look at the Federation of Qc
snowmobile clubs web site at http://www.fcmq.qc.ca

Just "shout" if you need more/other info.

Looks like fun, doesn't say what kind of machine is included, or if
you can bring your own sled?

Thanks a lot for that information. The pictures on the website look really
great. But:
When can I go at the earliest? (I can't wait to enjoy snowmobiling) Is
November ok? Or do I have to wait for December or January?

Thanks,

Axel

Wait till December for good riding. The later the better with the
more snow. I would guess there is 50+ places to rent around Yellowstone.
Each entrance except the North (not positive) and the majority in West
Yellowstone. I think it is around 140 day for a powder sled and less
per day for all other models.

Enjoy
