Hi Everyone,
I need your help. Does anyone have any experience with the electric visors
on the Modular helmets. I was under the impression that the electric visor
would allow me to NOT have to wear the "BREATH EVAC" mask system that comes
with the Modular helmet. However, I was informed today that it may not be
the case. I was told that in really cold conditions the electric visor would
still fog up if not wearing the mask. So now I am questioning whether or not
it is worth spending the $250.00 (219.99 + tax) for the visor. Maybe I
should put that money toward the new BV2S helmet.
If anyone has any experience they could relate it would be much appreciated.
Thanks,

The electric visor for the Bombardier Modular helmet is $219.99 + tax =
$252.99 in Canadian dollars. I bought it 2 days ago, but am not opening it
in case I decide to take it back and get the new BV2S helmet.

The electric visor is useless on the modular helmet, the heating element is
on the outside shield, the inside still fogs up bad if you don't use the
breathing thing. I talked with bombardier about this and they said it is
made this way to melt freezing rain. Well this turns out to be a crock of
sh--. I spoke with lazer (the manufacturer of the helmet), What bombardier
did was have the face shield made off shore in Taiwan for cheap, but lazer
had a patent on the visor so bombardier swapped face shield heaters to get
around their patent. Take the heated visor back, it is useless in cold
weather. Just my opinion.

My AGV Blizzard (made by Lazer) works flawlessly in all conditions. I have
not had it fog up and can even wear sunglasses without them fogging. The
breath deflector in this helmet is the fighter pilot soft rubber style and
really works great.
For the $122 I paid for the helmet (new) this thing really is impressive.
