First if a skate is slightly narrow when trying them on they
will cause you a great deal of pain.

Ok, now that that's out of the way I too have BravoBlade
GLX's. I find them very comfortable and appreciate the memory
closure. The downside is that they come with junk bearings (but that
is easily remidied). What you might want to do if possible is rent a
pair and give them a good test drive. I know that the Bravoblade GL
is a very popular rental skate (same as GLX w/o the dial on the ABT
break). Doing this with give the opportunity to see how the skate
really will fit your feet as well as allowing you to vent your
beginning skater abuse on skates that don't belong to you.

I recently bought a pair and have been very satisfied with them. The
only complaints are
1) they scratch very easily (I am new and crashing is common)
2) the middle strap can compress your arch if you make it to tight
casuing foot pain. It took me awhile to realize that if I loosened it I
would not hurt .

But all in all a decent skate

I just got a pair of '93? AeroBlades (new - I got a good deal, obviously),
and I find my GLXs to be cooler on my feet...

The ABT is pretty nice for the first-time/inexperienced skater...
