I am looking to upgrade my rec skates soon to either the Roces
Sydneys, or the Rollerblade Fusion MX. After trying both on, the Roces
seems to fit a lot better and be a bit lighter. The Fusion MX is a much
heavier skate, but seems to be built a lot better than the Roces.

Does anyone have opinions on comments as to which is a better skate?
Thanks in advanced.

Tony

Fusion MX Sydney winner
---------------------------
wheels 77mm Blurrs 76mm (?) Fusion (small win)
frame nylon aluminum Sydney (huge win)
brake ABT ? Sydney (big win)

It did take a while to get used to the MX's weight (especially when
jumping), but it doesn't bother me anymore. Wheels are not that big of
an issue since they'll need to be replaced sooner or later. I really
wish the MX comes with aluminum frame though. An upgrade to the Fusion
10k frame was about $250US. I'm disappointed that the top of the line
RB skate doesn't come with 80mm wheels. Also, if the Fusions are
considered advanced/fitness/high performance skates, why are the bulky
ABTs on them?!? I would rather have a less intrusive brake, like, say,
a _standard_ one.

You might want to check out the Reidell (sp?) boot/Airlite frame combo
that Team Paradise offers. This will allow you to switch between 4
wheel and 5 wheel frames easier and cheaper. Don't know about comfort
nor fit though, but I'm thinking about getting myself these for X-mas.

I was considering buying both of the skates you are interested in . I ahve
skated for years on Rollerblade Aeroblades( the orginal) and I thought
they were the best. I wore out the liner and couldn't get another so I
decide to replace the skates.. I thought the Fusion was just too
Heavy..Weighs a Ton. i was about to buy the Roces and I decided to try K2
VO2 Max. The skate is so fast it's scarey..After a week on the VO2 I put
my Aeroblades back on and they felt so slow and sluggish..Give K2 a try
beforeyou pluck down your money, you might like them..
