Keep any additions and corrections that qualify coming...
you might want to add Jeff Myers. He skated with Paula
Visingardi then Hilary Olney then Shannon Amann and then I
forget. He was at Easterns this year in Sr Pairs. I beleive they
were 3rd out of 3.
Nick Casteneda: skated with Sonja Casteneda then Alison Takamoto
then Cathy Mckee then and currently with Dawn Piepenbrink.
Dawn Piepenbrink Skated with Tim Dever then Nick Casteneda
Maria Lako Quit skating after she and Rocky split up. they also
broke off their Romantic relationship just before they stopped
skating together. But shae skated with Michael Blicharski before
Rocky and I'm not sure when she skated with Joel Mckeever
(meaning which order). I know her best friend passed away around
the same time she stopped skating.
Also you might want to add Kristi Yamagucci who won a medal at
Worlds with Rudy Galindo since I heard she is skating Pairs again
but her new partner has sliiped my mind.
Jeff Myers? The guy that won bronze at the Easterns this year in
Senior Pairs? If we are talking about the same guy :) He skates
down on my rink and the partner after Shannon Amann was Stephanie
Woodman.. They recently dissolved their partnership over an argument
on dedication and Jeff is looking for a new partner.. They were
supposed to compete in Nationals this year :(

Yes Visigardi and Olney are former partners of Jeff Myers. I
knbow him well thus has competed against him in both Jr and Sr
pairs.
Krisit and Rudy did win a bronze medal at Worlds 89 or 90 I
think. She was 5th in ladies that same year. I'm pretty sure
about that.
Paula Visingardi skated with Jeff Myers in 85-87 then she came
back in 89 with Jason
I think Maria skated first with Blicharski. I'll have to dbl
check. I know Calla and Mike skated in 87 season and I know
Maria and Rocky skated 88-90 So I would have to assume that Maria
was with Mike proir to 88.
Now I havew a question A lot of the skaters listed on the left
side aren't currently active as pair skaters. Do you want
skaters who reached SR that skated with more than one partner?
hilary Olney skated with Steve Moore after she skated with Jeff
Myers
I skated with David Goodman before Karen Courtland did then I
skated with Alexander Enzmann, my husband
Alex Enzmann skated with Vanessa Moore before he skated with me.
I thought you might want to know since both of our former
partners are listed.
On Maria Lako's entry let me check when she skated with Joel
becuse it my have been briefly after Rocky instead of before.

Oops.. My typo.. I meant they wouldn't be competeing in Nationals
in 1996 because of the break-up.. The official word down in Omaha
(where I skate) is that Steph suffered a back injury two weeks
prior to the Nationals. I didnt see their program, but Steph worked
the injury off and they were working for 1996 nationals..
Unfortunately, they broke up..

Actually, it's not often I get to contradict you, Marg, but I'm pretty
certain both Canadian medals were silver. Landry & Johnston were "best of
the rest" in an exceedingly weak field in '89. Lloyd Eisler has been
heard more than once to point out that in 1990, he and Isabelle stood
above Mishkutenok and Dmitriev.
As for Yamaguchi and Galindo, I don't have a clear recollection of them
ever coming higher than fourth (1989 bronze was Bechke/Betrov; 1990 was
Mishkutenok/Dmitriev), but I am sure the U.S. fans will set us straight if
they did.
cheers!

Agreed on the canadians winning the silver medals both years (1989 and
1990). Also agree on the best of the worst comments in regard to Landrey
and johnston win in 1989. funny, I was just watching my tape of that
the other day and thought about posting to ask other people's comments on
the competition, because I was amazed at how poor L and J were in
comparison to what we are seeing today (even among couples who aren't
making it to the Worlds from Canada).
Anyway, I definitely don't think G and Y medalled at the Worlds. I think
Kristi medalled alone in 1990, which made her drop the pairs.

No,she was fourth in 1990...and when she dropped pairs, she went straight to
the top.

You were thinking about the Original Program placement that had
Yamaguchi/Galindo tie with the Seybolds. After the Long, the Seybolds fell to
8th overall with Yamaguchi/Galindo finishing 5th. Of course, had they placed
3rd in the Long, ahead of Bechke and Petrov, Yamaguchi/Galindo would've been
Bronze Medalists. Yamaguchi/Galindo had an off year in 90 and place 5th once
again at Worlds.

Holly went onto the 91 Nationals, but had a bad Long Program. She tried to add
an inconsistent triple loop into her long program, but couldn't land that. A
2nd fall on a triple Salchow sunk her in 4th, as Nancy Kerrigan skated a
cleaner and more difficult program to grab the Bronze medal. I believe Holly
knew then that the competition was just too tough for her to be able to medal
again and retired, moved on with her life and got married. There's a feature
article on her in the latest issue of Blades.
For Kristi, the best she could've done was to place 2nd in the Long Program,
and had she did, she would've only been able to win the Bronze medal. She was
actually 3rd in the Long Program, but the placements in figures hurt her medal
chances.
She later dropped Pairs from a nudge by the USFSA (that's what I heard). Rudi
was upset about what happened, he couldn't get over the coerce break up. It
ended up alienating the USFSA. And it's been widely believed that that
incident has cause riffs and why judges have not rewarded him as he should in
competitions, under scoring him. (but hey, that's what I've heard).
