Ladies Qualifying Group A
Canadian judge Susan Heffernan placed Canada's entry Angela Derochie
13th. The panel placed Angela 11th.

Mens Qualifying Group A
No Canadian judge.

Mens Qualifying Group B
No Canadian entries.

Not surprising to me. Canadian judges have been doing this to "their
own" for many, many, many
years. They quite consistently rank Cdn skaters as low as or lower than the
panel average.
In Heffernan's case, I would tend to trust her placings. It doesn't
help with the national pride,
perhaps, but she calls it as she sees it...and she sees it pretty
accurately.
