You know, after my first post, it was immediately said to me to go check out
Sandra Loosemore's page. In it or in her FAQ, is something called
"netiquette". I remember some mention of not starting flames with this kind
of attack, and that Nancy-bashing was kind of old news. So why would one
post this? I am one for free speech, if it adds something of value. I don't
mind reading the debates on who is the better skater, because people usually
back up what they are saying with relevant information, interpreted in their
own fashion. Just leaving a post like this isn't too cool, mature, whatever.
I am no fan of Nancy (nor one of Oksana), if I was just to base it on how she
acts in public, (that, and I didn't ever really think her skating had that
"spark") but I am not so dumb as to assume that this is her true personality.
And why should anyone care, anyway? It's her life, let her live it as she
pleases. As soon as you are living your life in the public eye like this,
then maybe we can judge her.

P.S. I'd like to see your grandmother land any triple jump. That would be
something. Hell, i'd like to land a triple jump in this lifetime!

Sniff....sniff.....Does anyone else smell troll?
How can anyone know that is what she thinks? Maybe she's just hurt and
angry...Does anyone of us know for sure that we would behave differently?

I don't know whether the world is run by smart people who are
putting us on, or by imbeciles who really mean it.

Firstly, you don't know what Kerrigan thinks. I'm not one of her fans by
any stretch of the imagination, but I'd rather not place myself in her
shoes.
Secondly, she has talent. One does not win the Olympic silver (indeed,
there are some in this ng who think she should have won the Gold) in
Lillehammer without some talent. That statement simply makes no sense. No
talent compared to whom?
Thirdly, I too would like to see your grandmother skate, but let's not
drag her into this.:)

Hmmmm, skating pickup lines...here's my "top ten" list (guarenteed to
work, or your money back):
10) "Do you skate hear often?"
9) "Shot any ducks lately?"
8) Would you like some egg roll with that swing roll?"
7) "What's a pretty girl like you skating in a dump like this?"
6) "Care to hydroblade, my dear?"
5) "Your eyes sparkle like sequins under the hockey lamps"
4) "Excuse me, are you Katerina Witt?"
3) "May I scrape the skittles off your shoes?"
2) "Better stick close to me in case there are any knee-whackers about"
And the number one guaranteed pick up line to score with skating chicks:
1) "Wanna play 'Find the Zamboni'"?
Kevin
That's pretty good - you know what she thinks. I take it you spent some time with
her to find this out.
