on Cape Cod on Saturday. If this has been posted already, I am sorry for
the
redundancy. There were many top skaters in attendance and there is a
charming
picture of them in the Boston papers today. If no regular poster writes
in with
details, I will write back with more info on who attended.
I was on the Cape over the weekend, and unfortunately, the weather was
not the
greatest. But the bride and groom looked radiant nonetheless.
BTW, this newsgroup is very entertaining.

In looking at ten skaters pictured in the group photo with the happy bride and
groom, here are the various "Paul connections" I can think of:
Dick Button -- fellow Harvard alumnus and long-time admirer of Paul's skating;
Scott Hamilton, Kristi Yamaguchi, Katia Gordeeva, Denis Petrov -- Stars on Ice
fellow skaters;
Brian Boitano & Christopher Bowman -- 1988 Olympic teammates;
Nancy Kerrigan -- 1992 Olympic teammate;
Kyoko Ina -- not sure if she's just a good friend of Paul's?;
and finally... Ilia Kulik (just the guy accompanying Katia that day?! ;-)

I am not sure what other connection(s) they might have, but Paul spent
some time training at the same rink in NY as Kyoko when he was working
with Lar Lubovitch in the summer of 1996(?).

Hmmmmm... it looks like Katia is taller than Kyoko. Is that so? I
always got the impression that Katia was tiny - Kyoko never really seemd
that way to me. (Though she obviously is small next to Zimmerman.)

Having seen her many times she is under 5 feet.
she was dating SOI exec Byron Allen a year or so ago.
Also Ilya I believe was there as Katia's date.
In the photos they sure look like a happy couple to me(holding hands in one
photo)
Paul was an usher in Chris Bowman's wedding by the way.

Paul had been accepted into Harvard Law School, deferred at least two years and
the law school finally said "reapply when you're ready." But then he decided
on biz school instead (maybe to become a skating promoter?)
