Oksana Baiul on AM Talk Radio

Oksana Baiul was a guest on our morning talk radio drive time program
today in Boston. She was an absolute delight during this ten minute
interview, something like the Oksana of old. It probably helped that
the talk show hosts were fans of Oksana's; the male member of this team
was quite rude to Tara Lipinski last month ("Prove to me, Tara, that
you are a real kid! Ugh!!) during a similar interview where Tara was
plugging her book.

Oksana spoke about many things. She was out in LA with her
choreographer, Sara Kawahara, working on her new competitive program for
this season to 'All That Jazz' from Chicago (a number I mentioned here a
while back in the thread on exhibition music. Sandra Loosemore advised
me at the time that many skaters had done this number in the past, but
the show is ing revived).

Of course she was questioned, still, on the Nancy Kerrigan issue, saying
they were friends who had never fought after the Olympics because OB did
not know English at the time.

Oksana spoke of her coaching change, briefly, Victor's new baby, her
hair color, things we may already know; it's just that she sounded so
upbeat and happy that was impressive. Hopefully her skating will be back
110% too!
