- At the Grand Prix Final, Barb Underhill said of Anthony Liu that it
would be so wonderful for Australia to finally get a man in the top 10.
Yes, it was especially wonderful when it happened in 1989 - Cameron
Medhurst (who trained in Canada!) was 10th at Worlds.
- During the Worlds pair finals, Rod Black was saying, "This is the first
time that Poland has won a medal at worlds". Yes, maybe in PAIRS, but
Gregor Filipowski won a bronze in men's in 1989. [Maybe CTV is missing a
copy of the 1989 men's results?]
- The whole of Rod's intro to the exhbitions last night was about how it
was the first time that one country (Russia) had swept all the medals at
worlds. According to the Globe and Mail this morning, Austria did it in
1925 (albeit without dance, which wasn't included at worlds at that time.)

ABC must have borrowed the same researchers. They also claimed that this was
the first medal for Poland.
