Okay. I'm listening to my teevee while on the computer. Jay Leno is doing his
monologue.

Jay: "Katarina Witt says she was very nervous when she posed for Playboy. But
then she later realized that none of the male skaters she knew would ever see
the magazine." Or something like that.

I think EVERY male ice skater EVERYWHERE has probably seen the magazine by now.
I know I have. Well, maybe not every male ice skater. Some are a bit too
young, you know. I think I was in the second grade before I ever saw a copy of
Playboy. Someone brought a copy to school one day. Ursula Andress was very
popular back then. Gee... I'm not that old... yet!

Hmmmm....I don't think Leno was referring to age. I think he meant that male
skaters are a bunch of chairasexuals who don't care about gazing at naked
humans.

Harriet, can I interest you in a bridge that is for sale in NY? Geez
... Brian (either Boitano or Orser) is as gay as an Easter bonnet.

All rumors aside, being gay today doesn't necessarily mean having always
been gay, having always been out, or being exclusively gay. I'm sure
many of us know gay folks who also have had hetero relations at one time
or another.

Not to confirm or deny the "conclusions" above, but simply to invalidate
the logic.

Worry not. Ann is only an authority on the gayness of Easter bonnets
because her MOTHER wears one all the time. She knows absolutely zippo
about Boitano or Orser!

Maybe, I am going to sound abit prejudiced but.............For the large part,
Americans have a very narrow view of sexuality and gender identification. If a
guy isn't super macho, able to rattle off the correct sports statistics
(football, basketball, and baseball), hate opera and the theatre, and can't
identify with females, folks assume that he is gay.

Although I believe that women have not achieved full equal status in the USA,
I do feel sorry for most American males as far as the way that they are allowed
to express themselves. If they don't fit the heterosexual stereotype, they are
assumed to be gay! Also, what is it like if you happen to be gay and don't fit
the above stereotype???

Having grown-up in a Southern European family, I don't get this "gay men look
and act one way while heterosexual men look and act another way". I grew up
with men kissing and embracing each other? Gee, men listened to opera and
cried over the music. They liked to cook and even (oh my goodness) designed
furniture. And, they managed to still be a heterosexual..........And, there
were men in the family, who acted similiarly who were gay..........

So, I would say that Boitano and Orser may be as straight as Andrea Bocelli and
that the hunky football linebacker may be as gay as Rudy Galindo. As the old
line goes "You can't tell a book by it's cover"...........

Lastly, let's grow up about human sexuality and gender identification. Let's
not assume that one of our son is straight because he loves football and that
ourother son is gay because he likes to pick out colors for the rug!

LOL!!! Thanks for making me laugh and smile!!

Now, if the above scenario happened, Hollywood would be ready to make a
movie.........Gee, who could they get to play Brian Boitano??? Any ideas??

Well, you have a point!! I had not thought about it in that
way..........American football players are more liberated then their European
counterparts. Afterall, you don't see Italian men patting each other on the
butt............

To also consider that the game of football consists of a bunch of men running
around, jumping on top of each other, ramming into each other, all of them
after a little ball. Of course, all that behavoir is accepted as normal and
masculine......eh...?

convincing :)
