Everyone should read this article. It isabout Hilary Grivich's diaries. Hilary was a competitive gymnast and diver who died in a horrible car accident in 1997. It does not deal with skating directly, but the pressures faced by the young athletes in gymnastics and figure skating are similar.

You have to fill out some basic info, but it is worth it. It is painful to read, a real tear-jerker, but it sheds a lot of light on the pressures. Hilary's mom is supposedly going to release a book based on Hilary's diaries.
