The SkateFAIR website (http://www.skatefair.org> has posted 13 pages of
faxed correspondence between $peedy and Pfenning, culminating in the very
terse letter from $peedy booting Pfenning from Worlds. Verrrry interesting
reading, and very scary that $peedy is so oblivious to how sleazy and
corrupt dismissing someone for attempting to follow the rules might look
to others.

First, that Ron did this at all. Incredible. Bravo.
Then that we are seeing it...it wasn't all behind closed doors,
hush, hush. Amazing.
This is the kind of thing that could cause a schism.
Maybe SkateFAIR has given people the support they need to
stand up for what is right. Or maybe it is something else.
But it is a beautiful thing to behold!
I am hoping we can get through Worlds without some sort of
"fist fight" between officials and the ISU.
Wow.

Could Skate FAIR also start an "Impeach Cinquanta" campaign? (Or is it
already part of the campaign).

SkateFAIR does not focus on individuals. SkateFAIR focuses on reform of
the system. And I agree.
I, like many fans, think Cinquanta is an idiot and a despot. However, I do
not want to see him step down or be forced out, only to be replaced by yet
another despot who subscribes to the same corrupt culture and way of doing
things.
Skating needs more than just the ouster of one man. It needs reform--from
top to bottom.

I still think Mr. Cinquanta is a big obstacle to any real reform.

I agree entirely. I am not saying I would not be happy to see him go.
However, I do not think getting rid of him will solve all of skating's
problems. They're woven too deeply into the fabric of the ISU.
The whole organization needs to change...and if Cinquanta can't go along
with the change or agree with the change, which I'm sure he can't, he
should step down and make way for someone who wants to implement real
change.
So does the USOC .
