Tim Horan - playing RL?

If there is a Tim Horan playing for the Western Reds then he is certainly NOT
the Wallaby Tim Horan. Just to update Tim is recovering well from his injury
in last years Super Ten final. However he is still in doubt for the World Cup
in RSA this year. There is some hope that he will play but everyone is
taking his recovery one day at a time. I certainly hope that he is able to
play. If he does play and goes well he may then switch to league, but that is
pure speculation at this stage.

Not the RU Tim Horan. Was purchased by the Reds from South Sydney. It
is his 2nd to 4th season of league (which included a broken leg) after
playing for St. Gregory's Campbelltown at High School. A very promising
player.

Are you absolutely sure about this Matt? Last I heard, about two weeks ago, was
that Horan's body had "rejected his implanted kneecap", or something like that.
Sounded *really* bad, as if it would need a great many more months to recover.

Absolutely, me too. Even though he's the one most likely to do us in; (though
Jason Little most effectively took over his high-jumping role in the Bled...)

Indeed, it is a different Tim Horan. This one has played league for the
last 2 seasons with South Sydney. I think he was injured most of last
season. He was a schoolby star and may still be only 20 or even younger.
Interestingly he is a utility back, like Horan mainly a centre and looks
to be similar in size and stature. He was predicted to have a great future
in league when he first came on the scene for Souths.

There have been rumours of (the rugby) Horan switching to league for a
number of seasons now. With the expansion teams there is a greater demand
for players and rugby stars will be sought after more than ever.

Incidentally the James Grant playing for the Reds is the same Grant who
played rugby for Australia and then signed for Balmain (as they were
called), now the Sydney Tigers.

Erm, Jim. I was at the Sydney Football Stadium on the Saturday
and I saw a shit load of tries scored. I don't think too many
were scored at the Sydney Sports Ground.

This is not a criticism, merely an observation :-)

Don't panic, this is NOT the Tim Horan of QLD rugby fame.
Although, I cannot confirm or deny the romours that he is
currently negotiating with the Sydney Bulldogs.
