I was looking forward to seeing Banahan after John Hill talked him
up for 2 years...what a waste of space. The Aussies hit him high and
he stopped dead and tipped over backwards every time. Plus he was
never in position when the ball did make it out to his wing. Always a
step too far upfield and the center had to hold the ball. That should
be his last game for England.
I thought the forwards looked like they have spent too much time on
the weight room. They all walked like weightlifters and after a quick
start faded like weightlifters.
On a positive note, Wilkinson is all class and it's good to see him
back. Gerraghty looked sharp as well at times. Can he play center?
Wilkinson Flutey Gerraghty with a couple of your flyers on the wings
would surely improve the attacking ability.
Moody was a standout. You have a #7 worthy of the Jersey.

Agreed with both those paragraphs. Banahan ran like he had something up
his arse, going by all the thigh padding I wonder if he had an injury ?
Cueto didn't do much better on the other wing imo. Monye was very quiet
too, and as Didge says we semed to lack any ideas in attack.
Starting forwards lacked any dynamism as was forecast by many. Looked
better for the last quarter when we got Hartley and Haskell on. Lawes
didn't have enough time to show anything. Props and flankers went well,
second row needs chucking out and replacing.
Hodgson looked sharper than Care, but that could have been due to the
changes in the pack. Hipkiss didn't do much either, but I'm not sure
anyone else would have done better with the service he got.
