:>1. Richard Harry
:
:Yes
Well, we're not exactly blessed with good props are we?
:
:>2. Jeremy Paul
:
:No, Phil Kearns
Surely he's completed his penance for WRC

:>5. Tom Bowman
:
:John Welborne, based on his last three games, really coming into form.
Think RWC 99, think Tom Bowman
:
:>6. Michael Brial
:
:Maybe, although he hasn't really preformed at International level in the
:past. Is he quick enough???

Watched any Waratahs games this year? He and Tian Strauss are the stand out
forwards. He's performed at international level all right, including a one
man demolition of the SAF pack in 96. Forget last year and Smith's cowardly
action in appropriating blame on an underdone Brial
:
:>7. David Wilson
:
:Yes, in form
Your joking. Played 10 tests too many. Pick any flanker but this bloke

:>9. George Gregan
:
:Wittaker is poised to take this spot IMO, although he has been behind a
:better pack which is giving him the edge against Gregan

Gregan will have first bite, count on it.
:
:>10. Manuel Edmonds
:
:I though Howard played the best Nr10 role this year against Auckland.
:Manuel needs to improve his kicking game.
:
Suggesting Howard be picked for the Wallabies has just confirmed to me that
you have not the slightest grasp on reality, let alone RU. This bloke has
all the positional sense of a deaf/mute marsupial. There are two things
certain in life a) death b) Wearing a Wallaby jersey Pat Howard will run the
ball back into the forwards..........Edmonds

:>11. Stephen Larkham
:
:Yes
Roff will get another chance
:
:>12. Tim Horan
:
:Yes
:
:>13. Jason Little
:as above

:>14. Ben Tune
:
:Roff is IMO the more complete footballer if 100% fit.
Again your joking. Even our brethren across the pond are conceding B Tune as
one of the great current wingers

What a shame he isn't getting a full time run with NSW, this will show if
he's picked.

I think Kefu should get the nod.

As an outsider, I would say that's certainly not a bad team. My
personal choice would be Herbert (13) Roff (11) Larkham (15) and
Kearns at (2) but whichever way you do it some truly great players are
going to end up with bench splinters up their jacks.

What a wonderful position for Australian rugby to find itself in!

>1. Richard Harry

Yes although Dan Crowley came close.

>2. Jeremy Paul
Great talent but he needs a year in Super 12 first. I'd go with Kearns

>3. Andrew Blades
Yes. Noriega will have to improve a lot to replace Blades.

>4. John Eales
Of course

>5. Tom Bowman
Yes. Just ahead of John Welborn and David Giffen.

>6. Michael Brial
Cockbain, Brial and Finnegan all come close here.
Brial and Finnegan offer more in attack than Cockbain.
With Finnegan on the bench you can cover lock and back row
and I think it'd be good to use Finnegan late in the match for impact as a
tactical substitution.
I'd go for Brial in the starting line up.

>7. David Wilson
Yes

>8. Willie Ofahengaue
Toatai Kefu

>9. George Gregan
just ahead of Whittaker.

>10. Manuel Edmonds
I prefer Drahm but we need a goal kicker and I wouldn't play Burke ahead of
Larkham(see below)
so I'll go for Edmonds.

>11. Stephen Larkham
Larkham deserves the fullback spot. I'd put Joe Roff here if he's fit
otherwise Mathew Burke.

>12. Tim Horan
At last! Where he belongs!

>13. Jason Little
No, Herbert.

>14. Ben Tune
Of course

>15. Matthew Burke
No Larkham, Let's see Burke prove he should get this spot.
Burke has had some solid games this year but surely Larkham has made the
position his.
Burke is on the bench or if Roff is injured he can go to the wing.

>
>16. Chris Wittaker
Yes
>17. Phil Kearns

No kearns is starting, Foley is on the bench.

>18. Glen panaho
Dan Crowley can cover open and blind side or is that Ewen Makenzie?
Crowley deserves the spot on form anyway.

>19. Joe Roff
No Burke, or if Burke plays in No 11 Mortlock is on the bench.

>20. Toutai Kefu
I'd put Kefu in No 8. Finnegan would be a good relpacement as he can
play lock and in the back row and he'd be a good tactical substituion
late in a match.

If seven reserves are allowed I'd chose an extra forward, namely Matt
Cockbain he can
cover lock and the back row and his defence is fantastic.
