Meanwhile Carter gets a week for bumping a midgets chin??
IRB = Bunch of gin drinking British and Irish old boys
They have long since stopped even pretending to be impartial. not only
that, they've even changed the laws to make their shitty teams better.

Two things.
1. The officer who cited Carter is Australian.
2. You're still a know-nothing idiot.

And thirdly the ELV's were clearly a SH led reaction to England's success.
And fourth, Bobs smells.

England's succes, lol... Fuck that's funny.
Well, as a teenage Kiwi fanboi, we wouldn't expect you to know what a
world cup win looks like. I'd bet you and Matty tend to pull out the
extension lead in a huff every four years and go for a spot of
therapeutic horizontal folk dancing a deux.

Not at all, it is a lottery tournament. Bogans win lotteries, do they
deserve it? Sometimes.
On the other hand there is consistency, having the winningest record over
everyone. Being number one in the world whilst in a form slump is something
you will never understand.
You can have have your 1993; you can have your 2003; you can have your

But as Lord Shiney has often observed, even know-nothing idiots can
sometimes get it right. And, while Boobs's articulation of this
matter is perhaps a tad exaggerated and overblown, the general
sentiments he expresses re citing are in accordance with those of Lord
Shiney.
That doesn't really help junior's argument.

Carter's citing was bollocks, but it won't be improved by other unjustified
citings.
Andrew
Payne's laying into Hore with his fists was not justification for
citing?

I just think we need to look at ourselves as fans. Who cares if a few
punches are thrown? I thought it was supposed to be a game for men.
"Sir, sir, he hit me!"
Andrew
** Especially when Woodcock got a suspended for a punch the fortnight
before; no judicial consistency is the trouble, not the acts themselves.
They either need to let a bit of fisticuffs go, ( the MUCH preferred
option ), or cite everyone who does it.
The same goes for on the field, let punches go with a warning and penalty,
or it's a straight yellow; not one each way depending on who's the ref this
week.

I'm no expert but I don't think one throws a punch using the elbow.
If you want to make a case for inconsistency it would help if you got your
facts straight:
"In the case of Woodcock, Mr Hobbs said Woodcock accepted that he had made
contact with Mr Smith's neck and shoulder area with his elbow but denied
making contact with Mr Smith's head."

'Facts are meaningless. You could use facts to prove anything that's even
"remotely" true.'

Sounds pretty innocuous to me.
That's fine by me if it gets applied to a consistent standard. To me
the inconsistent standard, as seen by many, many citings, is that
Payne should be cited.
Yeah, the vast majority of punches thrown on the field are girly ones.
It's when some guy is pinned down and somebody else is going for the
full bhoona that you need to start worrying.
I can't understand why Payne wasn't sent off.
>
> Andrew
The ref indicated that Payne was throwing his forearm into the the AB
not punching. Whilst similar offences have resulted in a card I'm not
sure any have resulted in a citing.
Mike
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Exactly - I don't have a problem if Payne wasn't cited if it was consistent
with other incidents - the fact that the process is so inconsistent is the
big problem. The fact that the IRB do not seem to have a problem with the
process (and it isn't just at International level) shows what a useless
BOF's they are.

I should make clear here that I'm not really defending the process -
everyone knows it's inconsistent and therefore useless. I just can't be
bothered with Bobs's cry-baby routine.
Andrew
Which really just shows how bad Kaplan is.
Interesting and inaccurate viewpoint Bobs, and wrong on both counts.
First the IRB is overwhelmingly not British and Irish.
Second the current abomination at the breakdown that has infected the
Trinations, AI and NH club game is at the behest of NZ. The
interpretation of the breakdown has reduced the number of tries scored
and increased kicking for territory - on the basis of it's safer not
to risk a penalty.
Admittedly the English GP suffers more than most because it features
promotion and relegation, thus rewarding a low risk approach, but it
was inspired by NZ, not the NH.

Which particular abomination are we talking about here?

The refereeing
JH
Wait what. You believe the current parlous state of rugby is Paddy
O'Brien's fault?
Cheers
Brent
Interesting, NZ; the SH and the cheerful public wanted the ELV... but the
paste voted against them and the game is going to shit. It's a KICKFEST of
unprecedented proportion.
Now let's see, the interpretation at the breakdown is based on IRB
instructions. Paddy is the referee development officer. The
interpretation has made taking the ball into contact and the breakdown
a risky situation, so teams kick more for position. Therefore Paddy is
to blame. I can see how you got there.
JH
The kicking is a decision taken by coaches based on a particular
interpretation of the law at the breakdown. how, exactly did you get
to what you posted ?

The ELV meant short arm penalties for the breakdown. Also, I'm yet to meet
anyone who does not want the ELV... That's "exactly" how I got to what I
posted, dickhead.
Yeah what kicked that off? And the AB is standing there unscathed, still
holding the ball. you're right, he should've joined the girlguides.
Can't understand the 'low risk' rugby thing. Surely it's equally true to
say that if you're going to get relegated, or want to win the league
then you'll play harder to do so? What is utterly fucking ridiculous is
the playoffs at the end. Probably the main reason why the top teams play
'low risk' come to think of it.
Pffff, just been for a run, think I'm going to eat the fridge, muhahahaha
