Wheeler in England squad

Joe Wheeler, who led Oakham School to victory in the Daily Mail Under-18
Schools Cup final at Twickenham last Saturday, has been included in the
England 18-Group Schools squad for their opening international of the
season against France at Broadstreet RFC in Coventry on Saturday April 5
(3pm).
Flanker Wheeler, the son of former England hooker Peter, scored a
hat-trick of tries in ten minutes in the final against Barnard Castle
School to help Oakham defend their title.
Oakham full-back Matthew Cornwall and centre Tom who also played in the
final, are also in the 23-strong squad. Gregory was capped by England at
this level last season.
England's squad also includes scrum-half James Simpson-Daniel, a younger
brother of the England winger James, who will be on duty with Gloucester
in the Powergen Cup final against Northampton on Saturday.
England's other games at this level this season are against Wales at
Ebbw Vale on April 12and Ireland in Dublin on April 19.

And how many on scholarships for Rugby. Stuart Mackie is also a Class
act.
There are 2 18 group teams a Schools and a Clubs - this must be the
schools .

[1] Yes [I think.] Schools are U18 still at school boys. Colts are U18 boys
no longer at school but attached to a Club. This is especially so in Wales
where they are all thickies, and in France where you have to be thick to
start with.
[2] I always look for the surname & geographic location to see if the fix is
in. I have nothing to base it on, but I spy a Lamb, Simpson-Daniel, Teague,
Crane, Cusack, Peck, Wheeler & Worrall.

Teague is not a common name. I know Hartpury College is linked to Gloucester
in a big way at the Academy level. Maybe it is their Academy base? Vickery
is some class of a farmer boy on staff there. If it has something to do with
Walkinshaw it could be yanked real soon [!]
