Leicester Tigers are a club side, they can field players from wherever
they like. Even Nottingham.
What you're talking about is happening today: England {a country} play
Australia {another country}. Just to be clear, the entire England
starting 15 were born inside UK territorial waters {Actually all born in
England except a winger who was born on an island near England}.

I'm guessing that in those days it would have been full sides rather
than cobbled together ones and there was some mystery to tours as we
simply didn't get to see every sodding game in every sodding country
twice a frigging day. I really don't care other than that people seem
to be more and more just accepting the "quantity over quality"
approach taken by unions in recent years. Enjoy! There'll be another
one along in a minute so you won't get withdrawal symptoms.

The Professional players are not as passionate as the "amateurs" and
as hungy to win at times.
It showed in the Sharks semi in Durban two weeks ago where the Bok
front row was destroyed and once again at Leicester.

Assuming Leicester had all players available and a fully fit squad then
Amorisino, Tuilagi, Davies, Stankovic and Tuquri would not have played.
Nor would they have had to invite a second row from a neighbouring
club to play.
That said the other Tuilagi might well have played had he not been as
fat as fuck.
