I like this Louis Theroux guy, I'd never heard of him until recently.
His show is on waaay past my bed time but I have been recording it for
a couple of weeks now. I can't find the full show on Youtube but it's
a classic! There is this lady who lives in a whites only settlement...
She has Michael Jackson; Whitney Houston and Stevie Wonder records and
Louis runs with it... if you ever get a chance to see this doco watch
it, it is hillarious!

Thats Eugene Terreblanche.

Even when apartheid was at its worst, he claimed that the SA govt was
selling out 'his' people.
He is on the lunatic fringe.
He is quite an impressive orator though (in Afrikaans of course).
The meaning of his words are another story.

Louis does many of these shows. He has one in the US where he claims
that just about everybody else, apart from his congregation) are going
to hell because of their gay ways.

Have you seen his brother? He's a Theroux through and through.
Hmm, not so funny in text.....

Couldn't agree with you more. The Weird Weekend series which are a few years
old, but he's been doing lots of similar stuff since. There is a recent'ish
one where he hangs out with the American bible thumpers who picket the bases
of returning soldiers from Iraq. It's absolute jaw dropping stuff, seemingly
normal kids and pretty girls in early 20's all brainwashed to fuck by some
fruitcake who beleives 'God hates fags'. The most hated family in America
apparently, but great tv for the rest of us

On the same note, have you seen 'Religulous' by Bill Maher? Same kind of
style as Louis Theroux, but feature length. Available at all good torrent
sites today!!

Been around a while but it's great viewing. I honestly think he only gets
away with half the questions he asks these nutters because he's such a
non-threatening geek. My other half fancies him but can't explain why as
he's a hell of a long way away from her usual type.

Love all that stuff, but isn't Maher a bit of a fruit himself? he has
some weird views alright. I thought his film was ok, but have seen
better in that vein tbh. You seen the one where Dawkins goes to the
states and meets that super church preacher guy? You know he got done
for drugs and hiring a male prostitute shortly after? Bloody laughed
when I heard that one. Of course, he said god was testing him and most
of his congregation stood by him. Jesus, how's that for job security?

Have to agree, he does passive aggressive very well. He's like Ali G
without the sunnies.

Search youtube for 'root of all evil', or if you want to watch this sat
on your arse in the living room, the same search on mininova will give
you a file that your state of the art media centre can handle, I'm sure.
Once you've seen the preacher in the church, have a good google about
for what he did next. Sounds like it would've made even matua wince.

I found a torrent with a good few seeds for 'root of all evil', but you have
to register with a site call thebox.biz to download it. Looked quite a
decent site too, a British diwana type place, but it wouldn't let me
register. I've obviously been away from home for too long because I never
know Dawkins had made a few docs for C4, and all downloadable through this
site apparently. I'll keep trying, but cheers for the info in the meantime.
