I'll never pretend to know too much about the underworld business that
happens between those cauliflower eared mongrels, but at least some of
rugby's general truths have to hold at least - play them were they
grew up to play. After Smit went back to the middle and a journeyman
tighthead packed down in the last 20 minutes, I found myself cheering
everytime our guys knocked on - and it was worth it. Not only parity
returned, but some clear ascendency as well. Now if only The Moustache
would notice! Hard luck Bismarck du Plessis, but SA rugby's history is
littered with talents that just had to stand back while waiting their
turn. And your turn will come. A small sacrifice IMO to restore the
joke that the Bok scrum has become.
