Any suggestions on how to stop armpit hair from knotting it self up?

Short of shaving, were not going to go there.

Hey, I'm serious, its damn painful, espically when you have no choice but to
grab the knot and jerk!

You lady rowers (that shave) have one advantage over us guys (and girls that
don't)

Maybe a good hair conditioner would ease those troublesome knots ...

or you could always try braiding your pit hair, which helps stop knots from
forming.

Can you say "Gillette"! Plus if you shave that mess for the season you will
cut your time by a sec. or two.

Shave that mess off and you will shave a few seconds off your time! Many
guys shave for swimming and the like!

Why not just use some electric clippers, and trim them down a bit? Use a #2
or #3 guard, and buzz away! I don't have this problem, but it seems like a
reasonable solution to me... ???

He could do that or pluck them out with tweezers. This is a "hairy"
situation but you need to heed this advice and get up out of the pits!
