Does anyone know if Sunday's race will be on TV in the US? I have
checked the listings for BBC America and ESPNU, the locations for the
most recent races, but they are showing re-runs of Dr. Who or some
backwoods basketball game no one cares about. They have faked us out
with uncorrected TV listings before, but does anyone here have any
positive information?

I'd hate to be reduced to seeing the Tabs put to the sword on an
internet feed :-)

Here's all the live feeds:

I think Universal Sports Network is part of NBC. "This live event is
free to Astound, BendBroadband, DIRECTV, DISH, Hawaiian Telcom and WAVE
Broadband subscribers".

Yes, unfortunately Time Warner cable doesn't carry NBCUniversal. I
should have stuck with the satellite.

BBC World is showing the race at 11 AM EDT. I have my DVR all set to record it. I have even added 30 minutes to the scheduled duration in case it goes into ‘injury time’ like it did last year. Sadly, it didn't look like the fool causing the delay was not physically injured.

I hope your almost friendly television provider provides the channel. I feel fortunate to have it.

No such luck, I am afraid. We only get BBC America, and they are firmly
wedded to showing re-runs of Dr. Who and Torchwood at race time.

You, sir, are a genius - I see that the BBC World News channel, which
has only just been added to Time Warner's roster, does have it scheduled.

I thank you sincerely for pointing me to this, as I would never have
come across it by either accident or design.

I'm on Dish Network on west coast, I can't find it on Dish but the
'internets' is telling me that I SHOULD be able to find it on
Universal Sports Network.

I can find all the stupid fishing shows I'd ever want.

Thanks to Alistair, I was able to track down the broadcast here
in rainy California, and watched it with great delight.
It was included on my package, which I upgraded to
last summer to catch all of the Oly events. It wasn't
a sports package.

I didn't hear much of the coverage, my kids watched
with me so we were doing lots of talking so I couldn't
hear the announcers/color people.

There was one separate announcer who talked after
the races, sounds like they found a stranger stumbling
out of a pub and handed him a microphone and told
him to just talk.

A hilarious sidebar. While I was searching the web
for where to find the coverage, I dashed out an email
to Dish asking them to tell me where Universal Sports
Network was, and if I had it on my package. I remember
I'd had it last summer, it carried lots of full minor events
rather than the stupid prime time broadcasting.

I got an email response today (5 days after my question
and two days after the event) that they don't carry
Universal Sports Network.

Responded that they probably needed to put in some
kind of database that is searchable.
