I was interested and delighted to read that Steve Callaghan finished
(went back and finished maybe?) his "A" levels and is now at Oxford
Brookes (confirmed by some up-to-date Brookes material recording his win
of the Tom Llewellyn rowing cup). According to some Grosvenor RC
material (undated, sadly) he also trialled for the GB squad. (He
obviously moved to Grosvenor from Liverpool Vic where the programme was
made).
Also pleasing is that Luke Pendlebury (was he the guy at stroke in the
final crew?) is at Cambridge doing a PGCE. The Sun article says he's
rowing for his college (Homerton) but Google also turns up articles
suggesting he plays football for the University, unless he's got a namesake.
Of only slightly less interest to rowers is that Michael Bomba is a
top-class hammer thrower (and had been before he did the programme).
Well done those men. Has anyone got information about any of the others?

He tried out for the Cambridge Lightweights for a bit last year but then
dropped out. I don't blame him - footballers get Full Blues for two
training sessions a week! (see http://www.varsity.co.uk/sport/243/1/ )
I didn't really have a chance to get to know him well but he seemed like a
nice guy. I didn't realise that he was a TV star, though.
