Could anyone please let me know if there are any stores that sell
Concept II rowing machine (model C) in any fitness store? I have read
rave reviews about this machine in this message board so I want to get
one for my home. I have been calling several stores but all they have
is a Tunturi.
Thanks.

It's been my experience that most fitness stores that carry them mark up the
Concept2 ergs by between 30 and 50 percent over what you pay by buying
directly from Concept2. And you may very well end up buying a floor model
that's been sitting around for months, used by countless passersby, and
probably never cleaned or maintained.

I'd recommend that you save yourself both money and grief and order directly
from Concept 2 (www.concept2.com). You can buy a new Model C erg for $765
plus about $35 shipping, and they'll ship it out to you within hours of
receiving your order. It shouldn't take more than an hour to unpack and
assemble the erg.

Concept 2 does not sell to retail stores. If any stores have them, they did
not get them at wholesale from C2 - they would have either had to take them
as a trade in, bought them used, or bought them from C2 at retail price and
marked it up even further. By far the best, fastest, safest, and cheapest
way to get a new Model C ergometer from C2 is to order one from them
directly. They will deliver it to your home, no hassle.
