I've included the list of qualifiers in the form guide. There is also a new
page of HRR stats.

The NRL will be updated in the next couple of days.

Regarding the debate going on here recently concerning how to pre-qualify,
it's interesting to compare those that have pre-qualified and those that
haven't in the form guide. (www.nrl.org.uk/mynrl.asp)

I suspect that the requirement is something along the lines of
For club events either
Win or be competitive at Elite
or
Win / come second at S1
at one of :
Notts City, Met, Docks, Reading, Marlow, Ghent.

But it's pretty clear that on the whole, those with no form at all have to
qualify. Regardless of what club they come from.

Forgive my ignorance, but do the Stewards automatically prequalify foreign
crews, talking only about the Temple? Its seems as though they do, and I
was wondering whether this was a reflection on the quality of crews that
bother to make the journey (Yale et al), or to encourage foreign entries,
because to travel over and not qualify would waste their time/money?

Has it been clear from previous results that the crews merit their status?
I only wonder, because there are 43 domestic crews fighting for 12 places,
and though there are domestic pre-qualifiers (Brookes A, Isis A, Cambridge
etc), all the overseas entries seem to pre-qualify.

In the past the rules have made it clear that foreign crews may be asked
to qualify. Whether that option is waived in most cases, I don't know.

Not all, but a lot of them. (All 7 foreign entries in the Thames went
straight in.)

Being a foreign entry does seem to help with pre-qualification.

Certainly the range of talent that makes its way over is as variable as
that which is produced domestically.
