Help needed at RDU Crew (Lake Crabtree, Morrisville, NC)

Hello rowers,
My name is Adam Geringer, I'm a 16 year old rower, and I've recently created a rowing club on Lake Crabtree, in the heart of the RTP region. My friends and I were fed up with driving 30+ minutes outside of the city to a mediocre lake, so we turned to our backyard lake instead. We are doing this as an attempt to bring the sport closer to people, by cutting the travel time for residents of Durham and Chapel Hill. Also, the lakes location close to the primary employment hub of the metropolis means this would be a good way to get people out on the water, before or after work.

So why am I here? Well, we need more people on board. We are contemplating starting a masters program for the aforementioned people who get off work, but I also need coaches for training novices. I am hoping to find a coach that can come out once or twice a week, so the load is spread across many people instead of just one person. In exchange for coaching, maybe you can get access to the masters program for free/reduced rate? I'm not sure.

I don't live there but know there is a semblance of a masters rowing program north of Charlotte on Lake Norman. That MIGHT be a source of support for you and your efforts.
If you haven't reached to them you might want to do so just to see if they have someone to make the trip up to help you. For a good time look at their web site:
