WWE Live - In Fort Myers, Florida December 18, 2005
(1) Chavo Guerrero beat Rob Conway (10:56)
Good opener. Chavo held up an Eddie shirt before the match. Big chants for
both "Eddie and Chavo". One funny moment had the crowd cheering both at the
same time. The end came when Chavo hit his best looking frog splash yet for
the win.
(2) Snitsky & Tomko beat Antonio & Romeo (6:58)
Originally Snitsky & Tomko vs Matt Cappotelli & Mike Mizanin but was changed
for obvious reasons because of Cappotelli. Mainly a squash with Heart Throbs
not getting in much offense. Heart Throbs are billed as coming from Fort
Myers but it didn't get them as much cheers as I thought it would. Heart
Throbs
would try to win over the crowd but it wasn't really working. Snitsky &
Tomko
both hit their big boots in the end for the win.
(3) Lance Cade beat Matt Striker (4:50)
For the second show in a row Fort Myers saw an injury occur (last time was
Carlito). The first 2-3 minutes were comedy as Striker was up to his antics.
After only a minute of action Cade back body dropped Striker outside. After
about a minute Cade threw Striker back in, punched him a few times, hit his
finisher (a jumping flatliner) & pinned him before Striker ever got any
offense.
After the ref threw up the X to signify an injury, they brought a stretcher
out but Striker got on his feet & left with help from Chad Patton.
(4) Ken Doane beat Danny Basham (7:02)
Doane has a cheerleading gimmick & came out with former TNA wrestler Lex
Lovett in his corner. Basham has let his hair grow & looks about the coolest
I'
ve ever seen him. Lovett hit Danny with his megaphone type thing & Doane hit
his a finisher (a samoan drop type move) for the 3.
(5) Trish Stratus & Ashley Massaro beat Torrie Wilson & Candice Michelle
(4:59)
Jerry Lawler was the guest ref. He mentioned how Vince McMahon gave him the
decision of either wrestling Snitsky or refereeing this match & it took him
a
whole 2 seconds to decide. Lawler announced today was Trish's birthday & led
us in a Happy Birthday chant. Torrie & Candice attacked them before it was
finished. Eh match that didn't go too long & for good reason.
(6) Trevor Murdoch beat Shelton Benjamin (6:45)
Ok match. Should have been given more time. Big cheers for Shelton. Murdoch
grabbed the tights for the win.
(7) Shawn Michaels & Ric Flair beat Chris Masters & HHH (17:59)
MOTN. A dream come true for me as I saw one of my idols Shawn Michaels for
the first time. Some good comedy & wrestling in here.
(8) WWE Title, Street Fight: John Cena beat Kurt Angle (17:03)
Pretty good match. Doesn't rival most of their other matches which isn't
saying a WHOLE lot but it was still fun. Daivari would interfere when the
ref
wasn't looking or was knocked out even though it's a Street Fight & there
isn'
t supposed to be any DQs. Cena kicked out of 2 Angle slams to big pops. Cena
won with the FU. Cena got on the mic afterwards & said some encouraging
words to persuade us to watch the Raw From Iraq tomorrow. Good way to end
the
night.
