Well, since you've responded in a much more civil tone this time, I'll
dispense with my usual 'boilerplate' notice about you in this response
to you.
As for who will have a bigger impact on music, Taylor Swift already
has done that by practically single-handedly rejuvenating interest in
the entire *genre* of pop country, *especially* among people under the
age of 20 which is a feat that has *never* been accomplished before.
Essentially, what Miley Cyrus did with the mainstream teen/tween
market, Taylor duplicated in the pop country market.
I can understand why hip-hop fans resent them both however. Two young
girls from Tenessee have practically sucked all the atmosphere out of
the music industry in terms of sales, concert attendance, and industry
awards.
I see this as *poetic justice* however since *good music* has pretty
much been abandoned by the music industry as far back as the early
90's when it abandoned actual *talented* artists and made a mass
defection to LA based gangsta-rap/hip-hop or the brain dead
Cobain-cultists and their penchant for the industrial stylings of
Nirvana and Pearl Jam instead. MTV totally sucks dead rotting badgers
as its dominated by mainly hip-hop, and other non-musical bullshit.
VH1 isn't much farther behind. The reason CMT and pop country are as
big and popular as they are is because MTV and VH1 left a major void
or vacuum in quality music and artistry.
Just as in nature, musical artistry tends to follow the 2nd law of
thermodynamics and abhors a vacuum. CMT and the organic appeal of pop
country has simply stepped in to fill a vacuum that the music industry
has left when it lopsidedly abandoned *real* talent
and artistry over a decade ago, and left a vast majority of the
entertainment consuming public a limited choice between rap/hip-hop
or industrial/grunge garbage.
The music industry tried to brainwash white kids into buying into
(figuratively as well as literally) hip-hop and embracing a
cultural product (and I use that phrase very loosely) as something
being their own. It was a strategy that worked for a while, as
essentially it was the industry simply reselling youthful rebellion
(just as rock n roll had done before it) only with a different genre
this time. The same thing can be said for the 'Seattle sounding'
slacker bands/artists. Young people were deceived into thinking these
artists were actually talented and cool. Interestingly, as a lot of
those kids growing up in that musical atmosphere (or *lack* of it)
during the 90's have grown up, so have their tastes in musical artistry.
THAT is why TWO young girls from Tennessee have pretty much scooped up
the majority of entertainment industry awards during the past 3 years.
The people with the real writng and producing abilities are behind
these two talented performers in a *big way*, and I for one hope it
continues...
Show me a rap/hip-hop artist that can consistently fill movie theatres
AND sell out 50-70 city tour arena dates nationally/internationally,
AND had ticket scalpers getting as much as $2000 per ticket like Miley
Cyrus did on her 07 Best of Both Worlds tour.

Anyway this incredibly talented rapper was way ahead of his time. He
