Raw Saturday Night, 2/13: The Corporate Gauntlet was a farce. McMahon
intentionally misbooked this to screw the fans. I'd have
booked it different, though. Wait until you see how I have Manhunter go
through the Gauntlet. Blue Meanie's parody of the Bloodbath
was a little lame, and should've been left in ECW. Seeing the Weenie
virtually starkers as Bluedust was a throwback to '95, when Goldust
debuted, but it was better in Philly. Droz needs to see a shrink.
Raw, 2/15: Paul Wight is named ref for Wrestlemania, then screws Mankind out
of the title. BZZZT!!!! VInce, that'll cost you. Having Shane
as Euro champ is also constituting illegal booking practices. Shane will end
up jobbing at Mania. Poor guy nearly gets sacrificed to the MoD,
but 'Taker uses him as a messenger instead. I see Kevin Sullivan getting
involved eventually, because this is his type of bag, and I believe he
probably knows Mark Calloway from when "Mean Mark Callous" was in NWA/WCW in
'89. Val Venis dumps Ryan Shamrock. Whoopee. Sable
supposedly going heel? Sounds like she's doing a parody of about 99% of Eric
Bischoff's "I love you guys" speeches to me. Again, big whoop.
Nitro: The mugging of Ric Flair. Talk about how much lower Bischoff & Hogan
want to go. It ain't working, guys, so suck it up, give the belt to Flair,
and go away. It's now clear that Torrie Wilson (what was that someone said
about her having clown feet?) is seducing David Flair. If not, Dave, how
about
AA or Mongo? One way or the other, Ric appears on the verge of being majorly
screwed. Come to think of it, Hogan looks better with a ski mask. Benoit &
Malenko win a pair, suggesting that the best-of-2 finals at SuperBrawl may
go 2 falls indeed. I would like to think so, but, ahh, no. Sorry.
Thunder: In the words of Joey Styles, after seeing Benoit do his Snuka
impression in the cage, OH, MY GOD!!! You better believe that if this was
ECW, the super
swan dive headbutt would have ripped the roof off the ECW Arena or any other
venue on the circuit. I can't believe the fans didn't quite go nuts live in
Salt Lake City
over this. Why the Raven video again, same one for the 3d time in 11 days?
Torrie makes it obvious that she'll be at the PPV and will probably replace
Liz as the Wolfpac
valet. Disco won't be in the 'Pac too long. Guaranteed.
Missed the Tonight show w/Goldberg, but will probably hear about it on
WCWSN. Flipped over to Celebrity Deathmatch before Thunder ended (flipped
back & forth), and now
they have Austin as a SCIENTIST!!! A Stone Cold Time Machine?! WTF? Steve's
having too much fun. "Nash Bridges" next week should be a blast by
comparison.
