It doesn't get easier. Still has to get out of the senate and then survive
a surefire supreme court challenge.

But I'll bet half of the democrats will lose their seats who voted for this
freedom/jobs killing bill.

Don't be silly.

Rich people will find ways to find new tax loopholes to make up for
the increased tax.

Insurance companies will find ways to get around the "no denying
people with pre-existing conditions" rule, even if it means moving to
the Bahamas.

The problem now is, getting a compromise House/Senate health care
reform bill that won't result in the pro-choice Democrats voting it
down or the pro-life Democrats joining a Republican filibuster.

Why are you in support of people in Afghanistan and Iraq
getting free healthcare which Americans pay for, but not
Americans getting healthcare? Do you hate America that much?

Er, pardon me for asking, but what part(s) of the bill is going to be
challenged, and on what grounds?

>But I'll bet half of the democrats will lose their seats who voted for this

I wouldn't say half - you underestimate the power of an incumbent -
but it might just be enough to hand the House back to the Republicans.

America survived the Alien and Sedition acts and survived the Civil
War.

Congress passing this bill is gonna kill us? It doesn't even go into
effect for years, that's even if it passes the Senate.

Of course the whole "transparency" thing was shelved when they pushed
it through....

Yes, yes they do. But they spin it as "WE'RE REAL AMERICANS SO ANYTHING
WE'RE AGAINST IS THE RIGHT THING."

Of course they fail at common sense, but that's neither here nor there.

Yeah, how'd that go again? Each new law posted on the internet for at least
five days before being voted on, or something like that?

I guess he forgot to mention the part about it only being posted after
bloggers or investigative journalists were able to find it.

Total sham of a presidency.

I thought it was that once a bill is passed, Obama would allow for at
least five days of public comment before signing it. (CNN has noted
that this is not always the case.)

Besides, the Democrats zinged the Republicans on that one; when the
"substitute" plan was brought up for a vote (just before the final
vote to pass the health care bill), somebody commented along the lines
of, "You got months to look over our bill before voting on it; we get
30 minutes before voting on yours."

Also, every bill introduced IS available online, at thomas.loc.gov.
The problem is, amendments don't usually make it into the online
version until after the bill is passed - especially when the amendment
is added just before the bill is passed, like with the one to change
the wording about abortion funding.

Maybe bad to you but way over-the-top trying to equate it with slavery.

Plus, the Democrats are following the will of the people since the people
chose to throw-out the Repulicans on their ass in 2008 and elect Democrats
(ie: anyone other than a Republican) to represent them.

Wait...did you really just try to talk **logic** to AGLOP??

That's like sending an email to MTV asking them to play more
Sparklehorse videos.

Seriously, Brah.

Agrees and thinks this applies to 75% of Conservatives these days.
