1. Shawn got Bret in the Sharpshooter. Almost immediately the referee
signaled for the bell! Bret Hart DID NOT submit!!!!! He wasn't in the
hold long enough! Hell, Bret withstood Bob Backlund's Chicken Wing for
10 minutes back in 1994 without submitting.
2. After the bell rang, BOTH wrestlers looked extremely Surprised. Bret
Hart glared at Vince McMahon and then SPIT on him!!!! Unbelievable. Even
Shawn Michaels looked pissed at McMahon. He said something to McMahon,
grabbed the belt and angrily headed back to the dressing room. The show
was then ended before any ringside comments/activities could be seen or
heard.
3. It looks like part of the match was to involve Shawn getting Bret in
the Sharpshooter, then probably some outside interference of some sort.
But before that could happen, the referee called for the bell.
4. Was it a SHOOT, with only Vince McMahon & the referee in on it. It
appears that both Shawn Michaels AND Bret Hart were unaware of what
transpired!
5. I guess we know where Bret is going (WCW), or is this all just
ANOTHER elaborate angle by Vince McMahon. Somehow I don't think so.
Vince McMahon wasn't at ringside all night until the final match
(negotiating with Bret?), and did you notice Jim Ross' expression. He
looked pissed off at something all night. He may have known himself what
was going to happen.
Maybe I'm just reading too much into this, but it looks like Bret Hart
has wrestled one of his last match(s) in the WWF.

> I think we'll see Mr. Hart on RAW tomorrow nite.......... for RATINGS.
I would say if Bret Hart shows up on RAW tommorrow, it's about 95% sure to
be a work. I, however, at this time, still believe it's not a work. Here
is my problem with this being a work...
If this does turn out to be one big work, the WWF will never again have
any credibility with the on-line community and the reputable 'net sources.
Eric Bishoff will have a field day with this as well. He will come out
blasting Vince McMahon as a very deperate man, and I'd have to agree, to
have pulled this over on everyone. And, Bishoff will get support for this
view, if, in fact, this turns out the be a work.
Now, I read on one of the reputable pages, I think it was MiCasa but I'm
not sure, that Owen Hart was still under contract for another three years
but, he has a clause that would allow him to give a 90 day notice at
anytime during his contract. I don't know if this is true and I don't
pretend to believe it's true. But, its very coincidental that both Harts
lost their belts on the same day. The logical and dignified way to have
Bret lose the title would have been to have him lose it to his brother in
order to push Owen. He is the next potential big star. He could have won
it from Bret and then lost it to Michaels if Vince wanted Michaels to have
the belt.
I still watch WWF and respect Vince. I have always been a fan of both feds
and probably always will be. But, something really stinks here and it's
wafting over from Titanville. If this turns out to be a work, I will have
lost all respect for Vince. Instead of trying to beat his rival on the up
and up, he will have pulled out a desperate attempt to win back people
with a cheap gimmick. I have always respected Bret Hart, but I will have
lost respect for his as well if this is a work and Hart went along with
it.
After reading some of the posts about the way Hart reacted after the
match, I don't think this is a work. I think Vince pulled something out of
his ass to embarrass Bret Hart in front of his home fans. I think he's
probably pissed off and bitter over Hart's reaction to the recent goings
on in WWF and his reported jump to WCW. In order to get back at him, he's
making an example out of Hart. Who better to do this to? The one who has
always been Mr. WWF. Do this to Bret Hart and set an example to the rest
of the wrestlers that they won't forget. If you decide to move to the
rival, you will pay dearly for your decision. If this is what happened,
Bret Hart will be in WCW and will never again be seen in Titanville. If
it's all a work, both Vince and Bret have lost all of my respect.
As I said, if Hart shows in RAW tommorrow night, I'd say it's 95% sure it
was a work. But, I guess we won't really know until tommorrow night.
Anyhow, agree, disagree or flame away.

If this was a work then why would Eric not try to kill this angle?. He
had all week to do so and yet he and WCW remains quiet. After listening
to Bret on off the record, I think he did give notice to the WWF and I
think he does have a problem with the direction of the WWF.

I would also lose my respect for him as well. Notice how the WWF did not
focus the camera back on the ring after the match. If they did that and
if Bret looked really angry then this would be a work. I think the whole
spit thing was sign by Bret on how he had just lost respect for
Vince.

Let's just wait and see.
Personally, I think they swerved us. What was the ref bump for? A DQ
on Michaels, perhaps?
Why did Michaels only grab one belt when he owns two if he won? Why did
Hart spit on Vince? How does anyone know if the ring announcer declared
Michaels the new champion unless you speak French? And, most
importantly, in the video montage that they used all weekend to hype the
match, why did they use the close-up of Hart winking?
I think he shows up on Raw tomorrow.
I would have loved to see the crowd reaction to all this in Montreal.
Jerry Brisco hustled Michaels out of the arena quickly cause I think
they were a little scared of something bad happening.
That sounds plausible. Bret goes for the double axhandle, Shawn pulls the ref
in front of him, Bret hits the ref, the ref DQ's him when he gets up. Shawn
wins the match, but not the world title.
