Because of the gadzillion-part "Undertaker video" post, I figured that I'd
better post another copy of my ECW Music List, just in case it really got
pushed back.

ECW MUSIC LIST (Version 1.5)
compiled by James Fabiano
(with the help of many, many RSPW'ers....thanks guys! :-))

Extreme Championship Wrestling (formerly Eastern Championship Wrestling) is
one of the few prominent wrestling federations that continue to use the music
of popular recording artists for various purposes, such as theme music for
the wrestlers and the like. Over the months, many people have posted on RSPW
inquiring the names and artists of these songs. Therefore, I decided to
start the ECW Music List, which has gone through five revisions with this
newest version.

NEW TO THIS REVISION ARE:
- More names and artists
- Latest and/or current theme music indicated by an asterisk (*)

This version of the ECW Music List is divided into seven sections:
I - ECW TV OPENING MUSIC
II - ENTRANCE MUSIC
III - SPECIAL OCCASION MUSIC
IV - VIDEOS/PROMOS
V - HYPE CENTRAL/EVENT UPDATES
VI - CLOSING INTERVIEW MONTAGES
VII - ALBUMS

REMEMBER: If there's any additions or corrections that you feel I need to
make, or if you just have your own suggestions, feel free to email me at:
- jfab...@eden.rutgers.edu

OK....Now that that's all out of the way, on to the music!

I. ECW TV OPENING MUSIC
- "Sad but True" by Metallica
(An edited version of this song was the original ECW TV opening music)
- "Closer" by Nine Inch Nails
(The "heartbeat" that accompanies the "E-X-T-R-E-M-E" graphics was derived
from this song. When ECW first became "extreme," the entire opening theme
music was the "Closer" heartbeat only, as it would flash the "E-X-T-R-E-M-E,"
then go right to the "ECW: Join the Revolution!" logo.)
- "Thunderkiss '65" by White Zombie
(The other half of the present-day ECW opening music. It's an edited
version, and at the end, Joey Styles saying, "This is extreme!" is spliced
in.)

II. ENTRANCE THEME MUSIC

I'm about 21 years late to reply to this, but if you're interested, you can check out my "ULTIMATE Music of ECW" list on Spotify.

I have a question I have been trying to get an answer to for months. What was the name of the song that Taz first used I. ECW in 1995 and 1996. It wasn't Warmachine or Survive. Those were later. I would really like to know, but I can't find the answer.

It was "Keep it in the Family" by Anthrax.

I miss matches at the ECW arena @ Swanson & Ritner in Philly. Fun times.
