Why do they air this stuff on tv?

Dixie...you ain't Vince. All Vince has to do is waive the big
contract and they'll come flocking.

Very, VERY dumb move by her.

I agree that it wasn't very smart - looks like she is afraid of
desertions by the younger active members of her cast, which would
leave her with the boring antiques of which we see too much as it is.

It's one thing if such a meeting happened behind the scenes, but this
was staged to air on their tv show.

It didn't come across as smart, strong, or particularly wise.

I was also getting the impression that TNA, the self described future of
wrestling, is laying the foundation for Dixie to be the heel owner
confounding Hulk Hogan at every turn!

Cutting edge stuff in 2009, huh?

How about this: Have Angle become Dixie's new XVP of Ops @ TNA and
let him feud with Hogan. You're gonna stick someone with NO
understanding of how to cut of promo in order to sell an angle/match/
PPV?

Jeez, it sounds like TNA and the WWE is trying to top each other in
the stupid department.

I've always said that Russo is a one trick pony.

Wrestling has always had a problem with stars from yester year hanging on
too long and hogging the spotlight. Verne Gagne, anyone?

I think it was more to rally fans than actually rally talent.

Were we watching the same Impact?
She didn't "demand 100% loyalty", she asked for "100% support".
No demands of any kind were made. In fact she offered them the choice to
support her or not work for TNA.
Next time Google "worked shoot".

And it wasn't even the whole roster there anyway, I couldnt see Nash, Sabin,
Steiner, Sting, Foley, Abyss, Angle, West, Tenay or Taz.

She said "When you question things in this company, you're questioning
me. And I can not allow that to happen." She has forbidden them from
even questioning her, even among themselves in private. This demand is
a precondition to them staying in TNA.

Yes, the whole roster wasn't there, which made it seem like some guys
just were too big (or felt they were too big) and skipped this important
meeting.

I don't doubt this was a worked shoot and part of the show, I just doubt
it was very effective, unless it means they are setting up Dixie as the
heel owner confounding Hulk Hogan, which I don't think is fresh or
particularly compelling. I don't think Dixie has a good screen presence
- she shouldn't be on tv in any kind of significant role.

Agreed. Angle vs. Hogan is instant gold on the mike, especially with
the two backgrounds that they have.

As Scott Steiner has always spoken well of Hogan, it could make for
interesting stuff indeed.

Angle vs. Hogan would have me tuning in in an instant.

We don't have to. Cuba's moving to us.
