Big news from germany! Nobody knows whats happening!

The german sports channel who airs WCW TV-shows and PPV
reports on DSF-teletext that it will be broadcasting WWF shows and
is even talking about INY6 which was unavailable in Europe so far.
WWF is currently shown at another german sat.TV-station RTL2
which is doing it for years.

Two month ago the WWF was unhappy with the late time slots on RTL2
(9pm, 10pm) because of family entertainment and stuff. There were some
troubles but then they agreed on continuing their contract.
But here is the scoop: RTL2 is showing WWF Superstars and WWF Zone
after 12pm for two months now.

Now it gets funny:
When Carsten Schaefer, who is responsable for bringing WWF to germany,
and who commentates WWF shows on RTL2 (he sucks big time BTW but he's
trying) and before on TELE5, had trouble with the WWF becouse of the late
time slots, the chief of WCW-wrestling (!) on DSF Guenter Krap helped him
out some way and the WWF shows continued.

Carsten Schaefer BTW was one of the german commentators at Wrestle Mania 11
Remember Lawler saying: " These guys seem to have the right faces for radio !"
ROTFL !

Seems that the WCW/WWF war is going to new heights !!

On the other hand: I can only hope that when WWF is coming to DSF
the current german commentator team is canceled but that is just wishfull
thinking since Carsten Schaefer jumped from Tele5 to RTL2 to continue
his job.

Has someone more info on this ?

The situation with WWF switching stations is not nearly as
complicated as you say it is. As of the beginning of March, WWF
will air RAW and SUPERSTARS on DSF. The late time slot on RTL 2
was very unsatisfactory for everyone concerned, so a switch was
necessary.
IYH 6 will not be aired anywhere outside the US- which is common
knowlegde. Carsten Schaefer is not responsible for any contracts
between the WWF and any TV stations. He is the commentator and
has been the commentator for 7 years. Whether one likes his
commentary or not, that is up to personal taste. But there must
be quite a few people who like it, because in the 1996 "Bravo
Sport" poll in the category of "Best Sports Commentator" (which
als includes soccer, etc.), he came in 5, place in popularity,
only trailing the soccer commentators (obviously).
Dieter Krap had absolutely nothing to do with WWF shows staying
on RTL 2. That is a ridiculos statement. It was only up to the
WWF itself. I have reliable sources for this statement.
WWF and WCW are totally independent promotions on German TV
