This goes back to the early 1980's, when it was still Georgia Championship
Wrestling (NWA), before WCW, with Gordon Solie announcing.

There was a period of at least 3-4 YEARS where a little short guy with a
beard, named Dale Veasey, would wrestle. He got the crap kicked out of
him every single week for years. And years.

Buzz Sawyer annihilated him. For fun. Ric Flair took him to school. The
Super Destroyer mopped up the TBS studio with him. Paul Orndorff beat on
him. In fact, everyone and anyone who wrestled in the promotion from about
1980-1985 beat the crap out of this master jobber.

how can you forget Jake "the milkman" Milliman? Wasn't he like 5'7-5'8 and
230 pounds?

And like Veasey, I never once seen him mount an offensive. And not only
that, he has to go down as the dumbest wrestler of all-time. His
opponents could easily make him fall for anything.

My bet is on Pete "Duke of Dorchester" Dougherty. I remember watching
that 3 hour wrestling show the WWF had on Tuesday. He finally won his
first match in 300 tries aganist another jobber, S.D. Jones. Jones came
back the next week and annihilated him, tho.

I think Mario Mancini was the biggest jobber for the face ever. He
got beat week after week for several years in the 80's for the WWF.
Whether it was piledriven by Paul "Mr. Wonderful" Orndorff or in the
camel clutch by the Iron Sheik, I don't remember him ever winning a
match. A good honorable mention would be Frank Williams. Remember when
he was made fun of on Piper's Pit. Craig(nhf4life)

even though he won a title in Florida, you can't forget Jack Hart/Barry

I can't understand why no one has mentioned Frank Williams. For those of
you who can't remember, Frank Williams "didn't go for run" and got

Spiros Arion & Arnold Skoaland(manager of Sammartino, Backlund and Hogan
in McMahon Sr.'s WWF) jobbed the U.S. Tag Team Team, predecessor to the
WWF Tag Team title, to Tony Altimore and future manger-legand Lou Albano,
The Scilians.

I always thought the Steve King, Johnny Rodz & Jose "Mac" Rivera were
great jobbers in the 78-82 WWF.

By the way, what about NWA Mid-Atlantic jobber Abe Jacobs and his famous
Kiwi Leg Roll. He actually won TV matches against worse pre-lims.

I have a few tapes from USWA shows called "Renegades Rampage from 89/90.
I saw a
match pitting a masked Mark Callaway [Punisher, I think] against a blond
wrestler named
Steve Williams, trained by Chris Adams. Well, Punisher destroyed this
wrestler and
eventually pinned him with a devastating legdrop. Well, this Williams
character is now wrestling as Steve Austin; and their match at Cold Day
in Hell certainly lasted longer.
