When Scott Hall (aka Razor Ramon, aka "that guy" (TM Eric Bischoff))
appeared last night on Nitro and did the "Billionaire Ted/Nacho Man/
Scheme Gene/Ken doll wannabe weatherman" speech in the Razor accent, the
first thing I suspected would be that he would come out later, switch back to
his "normal" voice, and do a Madusa-like bashing of the WWF. You know,
something like: "I'm sick and tired of this phony accent, and I'm sick of
being forced to be something I'm not!! Scott Hall is back, and I'm where
the Big Boys play!!!!"

But I was surprised when Hall kept up the Razor act at Nitro's end,
apparently setting up a WWF vs. WCW angle of sorts. Even I have to admit
that if this is where Bitchoff is going, then this is a pretty damn good angle,
ranking right up there with the Pillman angle (when we all thought it was a
legit shoot). If they do it right, this could be one of the year's best
angles.

The only downsides to it, though, is the fact that I know that Razor officially
left the WWF, and any implications that he's still affiliated with it are
made up by WCW. In other words, knowing that it's a work takes a bit out of
it. Also, if this is a WWF vs. WCW six man angle, of course we all know that
Razor and whoever else he "brings" will have to job to the WCW representatives.

BTW, who do you think are Hall's allies? I'd guess Nash for one. Who could
be the thrid? Maybe Hakushi, but he's supposedly one third of the 3 Ninja
tag team. I also wonder how far Bischoff can take the "WWF interloper" angle,
as far as personas (Razor Ramon, Diesel) go.

can i add my two cents on this?
this has to be the lowest i have ever seen Bischoff sink, and to see Scott
Hall take part in this, well it just shows who Scott Hall is. to insinuate
that the WWF has any part in this is awful. Bischoff could do anything he
wants with Hall right now to make the WWF look inferior. it's disgusting
and very unfair, but after that last Nitro, i'd be feeling kind of
desperate too.

and what does this do for Scott Hall? actually having him over one of
WCW's top names is saying that whoever "we" is (and we all know who it's
supposed to be), they're superior to WCW. so what does that leave Hall
doing?

ever since he got the Billionaire Ted skits off his chest, Vince has taken
no shots at WCW. i thought this stupid war was over, but Bischoff has to
start it up again.....

Yeah, "Fuck Scott Hall!" No, "Razor Ramon is Dead!"

Give me a break. Are you really going to bust on Scott Hall -
someone who is at an age where he's only got a few more big
money years left in him, someone whose WWF star was starting
to decline, someone who hasn't really earned any big money
in pro-wrestling except possibly for the past couple of
years - for taking advantage of a contract offer that
increases his pay, guaranteed, reduces his travel schedule,
and gives him more time to spend with his family?

Ditto Diesel.

If you don't like how they are used, insult Eric Bischoff all
you want. But there's no reason to lay into Hall.

I've suggested this before, but after reading this I'm more convinced
of this theory...

The Billionaire Ted skits had no WWF vs WCW intentions. They were
only meant to disuade WCW from doing a freebie against WMXII, a card
Vince HAD to score big on (to afford the Warrior). After the claimed
FTC complaint, and claimed monopolistic actions, putting a freebie up
would have been fuel for any fire that may have existed.

I believe now that that was always the intention of the Billionaire
Ted skits. People just don't stop making such accusations unless
there is a settlement of some kind. Isn't that right Lee Barstow???

See ya!
